For me, it’s as good a first announcement  as they’ve ever made .

its not justwho they’ve announced, but where those bands are on the bill.

they seem to just keep getting stronger and stronger - and that’s with a reduced capacity this year.

Great 1st announcement, plenty to look forward to there. Quite fancy watching Suede though by no means a fan but the promise of some punk stuff on Woodland on Friday night will probably keep me away.

Getting Mr Plant this year shows that the festival is growing in stature

Where as some other festivals are falling by the wayside, or struggling to put on a good festival and  also get across the line financially.

Excited!  Spotify playlist created - no real finesse involved just whacked on the top 5 songs of all those on the announcement.  Almost looking forward to work next week to give it a good listen!

@ivan... Spotify playlist as promised. The lottery winners aren’t on it as they’re not on Spotify which is a shame. I’ve researched setlists and put those songs on where possible.

This is the one I've done - as I said, I just lobbed the top 5 track results for each artist on it.  And as Gnomicide says, there is a Lottery Winners track on there.

I don’t know anyone on the line up so far... except Lancashire Hotpots, so I like to know what they’re likely to sing. I like a good old sing along.

I vaguely know Suede and saw Headsticks at Farmer Phil's a couple of years ago - I think they were alright. But no, other than that I haven't got a scoobie either!

Anybody any input  regarding the Sat night headliner , I know The Specials have been mentioned earlier.

I was thinking about it the other night and thought about Massive Attack.

It would be tight on stage without the amount of gear they bring tho !!!

I saw them years when they headlined an 02 Festival at Harewood House , near Leeds and that was smaller than Beardy.

I reckon MA and Specials are both reasonably shouts. 

Until now, I'd have said they are too big, but Bearded do keep upping the level each year. They'd cost a packet, but probably justifiable on grounds of ticket sales / profile etc.

Personally, I'd rather see a band at the peak of their performance like Cat Empire, or Fat Freddy's Drop. It looks like Bearded are conscious of not booking 3 ancient headliners so there's always a chance.

Then something like Toots for sunday night , and I'd be very happy.

With Paul Weller announcing summer shows he could be a possible ?

Like Robert Plant he is not an act that many people would disagree with.

I am excited tho to get the line up updates !!!

I'm guessing Weller will want to sell his shows first, and Bearded have said it'll all be announced in next 8 weeks or something... so my woolly logic rules him out....
