BlackHole2006
They were absolute dogshit at Field Day 2015. Hopefully they've improved live since then.

Still not going to beat Taste. The intro reminds me of Love is Noise, which is the only Verve song I actually like. Mark Gardener's really kept his voice in good nick too. hpants
https://www.roughtrade.com/events/ride-live-signing saw this and thought i'd share just incase anyone is interested in this kind of thing. The week of glasto, could be a great way to be familiarised with new stuff and possibly try and compensate if there is a radiohead clash. Trout Mask Replica
Saw them about 25 years ago at Newcastle Mayfair with some unknown band called 'The Verve' in support. Wonder what became of them? A Radiohead/Ride clash is a nightmare for me but I'll have to see Radiohead. New track is great though.
MrTambourineManc
Saw them at Primavera in 2015 and was blown away. 'Seagull' was just something else! Watched their 6 Music Festival set on telly a couple of times - they're bang on form.
zico martin
does they really have to be Friday night though as I want to see Radiohead and First Aid kit as well!
hpants
Really difficult one for me as 'Nowehere' is possibly my favourite album of all time, but I don't think I'd ever be able to forgive myself if I didn't see Radiohead headline the pyramid. Homer
My headliner options are sparse as it is! Am going to end up with Ride-The Jacksons-Metronomy at this rate!

John the Moth
Ride vs Royal Blood vs Angel Olsen is the stand out clash of the festival for me

SophieBee
Did anyone see their JP set? We had a clash with Kate Tempest and opted for her (which was wonderful) but just watched it back on iplayer and they only had a 36 minute recording. Did they chop a load out or were Ride on for a very short time? I remember them chopping the Beck set on iplayer last year and being cheesed off about that then - is this the same deal? Annoying if so - what's the point of that?
Homer
Not watched it yet but Ride must have played for about 50 mins? Started with lannay point and finished with vapour trail if that helps. Were pretty good - though the pre-new material gigs were better!

I don't remember seeing Charm Assault in the iplayer playback, which would seem a bit off - mind you I just looked at setlist.fm and it isn't listed on there either. They must have cut some of it though (maybe Weather Diaries was one - think it goes straight from Seagull to Like a Daydream) Was a little sad to miss them, but have seen them loads so it was a fairly easy decision. Cutting short the iplayer sets is a total mystery to me though. They must have recorded it all, why not show it all?

I'd guess technical issues meant they were unhappy with some of the sound quality and didn't have the budget for a good edit that included the well recorded songs.
