Doesn't mention the amount of tickets you can buy in one transaction. I am assuming it is 4 for the General sale like previous years but can't remember if coach is the same? or is it 2?

I would like to know this as well. I think coach was 2 last year.

Trying to get resale tickets for my parents but they're struggling to find accommodation apart from staying in a tent (as i will be for the weekend :D). Any advise on cheaper accommodation outside of the festival or any camper van tips anyone could give me?

Wonderful news. Also trying to get my dad a ticket - he's always wanted to go to a festival and wants to do one while he's still got the legs for it. He's 64 this year and it'd be amazing to have him there with my friends and girlfriend. I got everything crossed for it

Please don't set a 4am alarm when the sale is at 4am your time. You might want to consider a half 3 alarm. Or even just staying awake - wouldnt be able to sleep anyway.

I would say I need help, but I will be part of a group with mates (whatever size those are - they still havent responded to anyone asking) so the money side of things is the issue.

I'm feeling hopeful this year... my mate's 50th doubled up with his stag do. 6th time we'll have been together. Not a sniff in October. Got them every time I've wanted them so far... please don't let this be the year to fail!

In my experience, in the majority of cases, if you're well organised and you want it enough, you'll get a ticket. Of course this doesn't guarantee anything but a good strategy on the day gives you a better chance. There's some good advice to be found on this forum, I wish everyone the best of luck

I'm still quietly annoyed that having organised our extended friendship group into 4 groups of 6, making a noice looking spreadsheet in the process, the group I was in was the only one not get tickets.

That's not a bad idea, heading back to hotel at half 3 then. Best have bloody good wifi, don't suppose there's any reason being across the pond would change chances any how is there.

I believe there was a small sale straight after the Sunday resale last year, I think it was unannounced and lasted only a few mins so keep an eye out

I've managed to go ever since '98 through either buying tickets or by volunteering so was a little peeved when I didn't get a sniff of even the holding page back in October but decided that maybe it was simply fate trying to tell me to have a break. Well, the line up gets released and not only is it up my street, it's come in though the front door, sat on my sofa, wearing my slippers and eyeing up my wife!

So now i'm basically back in and trying my hardest for tickets. Thinking of having two bites of the cherry and trying for coach tickets and then resale if not lucky in that. Do you choose the time/date/place of your ideal coach at the point of booking? Are there multiple leaving times (obviously allowing for the fact that this will be more limited in the resale)? Has anybody here left from either Oxford or Reading and if so, where do the bus go from?

Never had any luck in resales when trying for mates so I'm hoping the extra desperation will bleed though and i'll get myself a golden ticket!
