Yeah that was going around in the last few weeks, but someone read last years details and everyone took it as that was this years

Why oh why have they moved it earlier so it's the same month as tour tickets for Gaga and Ed Sheeran go on sale, do they think us young gullable pop fans have bottomless pockets :(

Do you go for the weekend (camping or non) or just whatever day looks good?

Camped for the weekend in 2013 and 2014, but I'll be more than happy to just go for Ed day this year depending on the undercard, not really desperate enough to see Mumfords again to justify £100+ on just them.. in other words I'm very much wishing I'd snapped up that early bird offer of £157 for the weekend :banghead:

Also Lowlands, which is the only one on the V weekend (tho it has acts on Friday, where Mumfords could be).

Yeah the Mumfords website says they're playing that on the Friday, though that could be listed like that by default until the days are officially announced I suppose.

no their only date that weekend is on the Friday

No Charli XCX, Liam Gallagher, Dua Lipa, Kesha or 5SOS, all of whom could probably have been expected

Defo calling Liam G for a Reading NME headliner spot, I'd be surprised if he took anything lower than 4th down at the very max and tbh it'd be best just putting him in the tent.

Why? It'd be a waste of a slot given Reading and Leeds' demographic. It isn't by accident that they continually fail to book NGHFB.

Yeah it was the Switz one. Just don't see them doing 4 shows in 4 days really. Never say never though

Anyone reckon twenty one pilots might sub one night or headline MTV stage ?

Do they have enough crossover appeal to play that high at a major UK fest yet ? Maybe they could do so at Reading at a push because it's full of their demo but I think they'd be awkward even third down on main at V

No. It'll more likely be Martin Garrix or Steve Angello headlining MTV or even Kaiser Chiefs :/

Hope it's none of them really seen Kaiser chiefs before and Steve Angelo and don't think Martin garrix is headline worthy

I can't believe how little I've heard about V2017. A few years back the rumours were immense. Maybe people don't care as much now?

They are announcing Ed most likely.....the little you are hearing will be the most hype you can hear soon enough. Sells itself.

With Katy Perry back what are the chances she could headline instead of one of the rumors? A ed sheran n katy Perry headline seems more v than mumfords

Possible, but does she really do the whole festival circuit thing over here? I only remember at V back in 09?

(Mad to think that was actually 8 years ago)

and R1BW

Don't think she has ever done a uk festival but would be a start....could see an autumn tour so would help ticket sales.

She played V in 2009 and was good fun if my memory serves.

Wouldn't mind seeing her again but can think of other pop headliners i'd rather see

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
