FuzzyDunlop
Not a prediction, a request - Get King Gizzard back! They were phenomenal last night. They played the first half hour of Nonagon infinity (as on the album, no stops). Then paused, went into in your mind fuzz, cellophane, a few tunes I didnt know, the river then back to Nonagon infinity. The atmosphere was fantastic. Not many phone recordings, just people loving it. 4th time I have seen them in 18 months. Easily the best. Get them back. In the JP. Loved the Parrots before them downstairs too. £15 a ticket. Possibily the best value gig Ive ever been to. The Wytches after King Gizzard were ok, but Id rather have finished with Gizz or even the Parrots. dentalplan
Yep they were awesome. I want to see them crack a big stage though so maybe double duty early Py/OS and evening John Peel, and WG as well. Won't get near Crow's Nest for it so that's not a priority. I left after Gizz because I've seen The Wytches before and they're not good. Missed Parrots as well as I was waiting for Gizz but The Big Moon were awesome - Methyl Ethel were p good too. I feel like we need a rolling King Gizzard thread as they're invading all the threads. Someone hook me up. FloorFiller
did my usual thing of starting off one of these and then getting bored/running out of ideas midway through. will come back to edit it when i'm not so lazy. as per, some acts would be lower but i just couldn't think of acts to go between em, and i've stolen an awful lot of ideas from other people's attempts in this thread Friday: PY: Daft Punk, Royal Blood, Iggy Pop, The Roots, Clean Bandit, OS: The National, London Grammar, Hozier, Slaves, The Shins, WH: Jamiroquai, The Avalanches, Anderson Paak, JP: Flaming Lips, The Horrors, The Hives, PA: FKA twigs, Flume, Saturday: PY: Ed Sheeran, The xx, Lorde, OS: Nine Inch Nails, The War on Drugs, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Die Antwoord, Wild Beasts, Django Django,WH: Justice, Miguel, Four Tet, JP: Bon Iver, Grizzly Bear, Brand New, Sleaford Mods, PA: Wilco, Local Natives, Sunday: PY: Radiohead, Frank Ocean, Vampire Weekend, Diana Ross, Blossoms, OS: Major Lazer, HAIM, James Bay, First Aid Kit, Crystal Fighters, Jack Garratt, WH: Santana, Jungle, Blood Orange, JP: Courteeners, Run the Jewels, Mastodon, Fat White Family, PA: Warpaint, Grandaddy, Real Estate,

I read someone on these forums say that they were escorted off grounds and banned from Glastonbury after one of their performances (which I instantly called bullshit on because they played consecutive years) but maybe it did actually happen after last year. If anyone knows more on this I'd love to know yo. I doubt The XX are going to play that slot when they wouldn't seemingly a few years back on Other. The National have had every chance to be there. Nice addition of Grizzly Bear, HAIM subbing Other I'm not sure. Jack Garnant would probably be higher and not a great alternative on Sunday so probably up to see Arcadia again and chill out up the hill weather dependent after RTJ. Vampire Weekend played the same slot in 2010 as well as 2013 so i don't see why not. struggle to think of another appropriate slot for them really, although i guess they could move up to sub next time round The xx will probably end up headlining Other if they play, but they subbed Bestival in 2012 and it was ace so i don't see why they could't do it at Glastonbury if given the chance you say 'have had every chance to be there' as if Glastonbury has asked them every time. they'll have a new album out next year to promote so it's a far better time for them to play than the past few years where they've just been touring old material HAIM could take numerous high slots really so just slung em there. could well end up having a decent Pyramid slot

Bestival is later in the year so gets darker quicker.....bit of a difference there. Oh of course but there has been 3 years worth hasn't there where they have been about before and either weren't asked or didn't play whatever the reason. It's generally a case that if you were around 2 years running that one of those you are going to get asked if they want you and if you want to play then one of those you will. FloorFiller
The National are still a weird one though. i'm not sure if they really have the pulling power to garner a Other headline slot, but i also think they'd die on their arse in a third down Pyramid slot. new album may well give them that push but it remains to be seen
