Unless the fee for a secret set is 3 times that of a Glastonbury headliner fee ... Then The Stone Roses won't be there.

Despite what has appeared in the press none of us really know what has been said between the stone roses and the organisers of glastonbury.

Apart from the no gaps and no fake names you are spot on.

Interesting.  I've never met someone who has heard of all 3 million bands playing Glastonbury.  You must have quite the vinyl colleciton.

EDIT: And as for gaps how about we start with the 75 minute gap on the Park Stage on saturday night.  It's called a secret set for a reason, they're not going to leave a gaping 3 hour gap on the Pyramid stage.

Of course, but I find it highly possible that they would have been asked to headline this year (probably instead of Muse).

I suspect that they instead sold out to money T in the Park were offering instead.

The fact they have avoided Glastonbury on numerous occasions, instead playing festivals which are renowned for paying huge sums for headliners or lucrative stadium shows is pretty telling.

the collective entity that is efestivals would have spotted a fake name on the line up in microseconds.

Not getting a 2 change overs and a set in 75 mins.

Money may have been the issue in more recent years but they were due to play in 95 until John Squire had an accident. They played the pilton party as an apology.

Quite possibly the best gig of my life.

Would love to see them on the farm.

That's to set up the huge light show for the Bowie tribute.

I think the whereabouts of the case would mean it would be on the Pyramid or Other, so unless they're playing at 9am then it's not happening.

Considering the sticker isn't addressed to Pilton but to the place where Coldplay's stuff is likely being shipped from, and it's among Coldplay's stuff, then I'd say it's quite clear it's an old sticker on one of Coldplay's boxes.

It's a longer gap than normal because it's an orchestra with special light show.

It was just an example of many such gaps throughout the weekend, but since you asked they only have two decent songs that are that long (Resurrection and Fools Gold) the rest are around the 4 min mark.  So I'd probably go:

I Wanna Be Adored
Waterfall
Ten Storey Love Song
Made Of Stone
All For One
I Am The Ressurrection

Defo no stone Roses,  mani goes in pub on my road (and I grew up next door to him)

Offer wasn't big enough for them. Blossoms are on other stage and they've been support act on Roses tours,  so could be from there with equipment in!

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
