Yep- that's where I'll most likely be as been a Basics regular in the past and love it

Which era/venue? I used to love basics at the pleasure rooms and went a few times at mint club and stinkies

Cos of the love on here and liking the odd clip people I've posted I've just listened to technicians of the sacred. Loved it. Is this typical of them? Where do I go next? And do people think these are headline time or will they be earlier. Cheers.

I probably listen to erpland and Jurassic shift mostmost. No idea where they'll play!

Edit I've never listened to technicians of the sacred btw

I listened to a few tunes and really liked them too. My mate recommened Gliding Sliding Worlds, which I enjoyed too

I went at Stinkies.... did you go to back2mine afterwards?

That was one weird event. Great though

Was that the Sunday daytime thing in the garden?  Was coming to the end of my club days by then so not hardcore enough for that!  (Leeds had some crazy after hours /Sunday party's when I was there as the Yorkshire folk just wanted to go on all weekend!)

Original basics at the pleasure rooms was great with loads of the original house djs plus people like Andrew weatherall and Dave Clarke in the basement. I even saw daft punk in there once playing one of their first UK shows. In the early days you had to have smart shoes to get in as they tried to keep out the riff raff!

Ralph lawson is a top dj and nice guy so looking forward to catching him in the Spaceport.

Yeah, it was a bassline / speed garage / electro and funky house type day. Originally opened at 8am... til midnight.

You'd get allsorts there. People who had been to everything. From basics, to hard house events to Rock events. It was the only place open. Saw some sights in there!

I only went once to the Pleasure Rooms and got threatened with a beating for brushing past someone in the club.  Went to Mint a few times (I'd moved away from Leeds between 98 and 02) including the last night at Mint.  Main era was at Rehab which I know wasn't always everyone's favourite Basics venue but had some cracking nights there.  Did Stinkies/ My House quite lots too including the opening night.

Never did back2mine but heard it was pretty crazy.  Did do a couple of after parties at Stinkies when Basics was at Rehab but didn't stay too late.  Also remembered going to the Glasshouse a few times as that was open later in the morning

Great club and great residents some of whom I became good friends with over the years

Cool,  think I only went to rehab once but that was when Derrick Carter was on so it was a good one. Yeah I remember Glasshouse as well that was pretty full on I soon discovered that I couldn't really go to those type of afterparties and hold down an office job though!

Should be a good turnout for basics at the Spaceport then. Think it also said laura Jones was on there so imagine she might do some oher sets and hopefully Ralph will as well.

Yes. I remember a great night with Derrick Carter at Rehab. He was last on and played a blinder till gone 6am.

I would imagine a fair few of the DJs will be on site all weekend. I know that Tristan da Cunha one of the other residents is playing Block 9 on his own and as part of Dungeon Meat

The bee as one will be amazing on the new sound system.

If your into your audio don't miss this

That bees album ('Be One') is included in the Guardian's list of best albums of the year so far. Found it on Spotify (it's now on the playlist) and it's really nice ambient stuff. If you fancy a mellow moment Thursday night then the Glade's 'experimental soundfield' could be just the ticket.

It is a truly gorgeous album, but I don't think I'll be able to persuade my friends to spend their first night on the site listening to ambient drones produced by bees. I couldn't find it on spotify before though, thanks for finding it!

Took me a while to find it. 'Be One' is not a good set of search terms!
