This looks fantastic, is it a gimmick or do they seem decent?

Could comfortably fit a bottle of Southern Comfort in there

Absolutely brilliant. With the right bag, you just stick the tube in your mouth and stay nicely hydrated all day. Saved my life the weekend I first needed to wear two hats.

I've got an pouch that I've had since 2004. Still fine, just lost the tube. It's the day bags that keep dying.

I guess I'm pretty minimalist compared to some of you. I carry this around, it fits around my body so shoulders/arms more free for a bit of a dance, lighter load, doesn't bump into people behind me when packed in down the front. I probably don't carry as much as some but it can happily store 5-6 cans, my phone battery pack + a jumper which is pretty much all I need for the day. It gets pretty knackered by end of weekend but only a fiver.

Tbh arcade that type of bag is probably the best, especially if solo (not having to lump someone elses stuff too). As you say the way gravity works it has less impact on the space around you. Isn't cumbersome in the slightest. Might grab something like that for the evenings.

Evening bag. Day bag. Morning bag. Toilet bag. Bag to carry all the bags. Body bag.

Aye for sure, just a shame i have to carry the other 3 peoples booze/waterproofs/diet requirements around or id be all over that. Though using a daysack as a 3 person body bag might solve that issue.

Aye, one of these is more than adequate. Get 6 cans, place in jacket laid flat on the ground, wrap up into a parcel. Stuff said parcel into bag (cushions the cans digging into your back), job done.

Somebody last year posted a good one from decathlon that you could fold up into a ball, and it had an additional pocket at the top of it, which was handy for storing lighters, vicks inhaler, chapstick etc.

Think I've got it down to one of these two:

http://www.nomadtravel.co.uk/p/11253/Sahara-Raider-II-Bag- not waterproof, but love the design - its a shoulder bag AND a rucksack, very lightweight, and when you lift the flap there's some little external pockets, then a large zip to get into the main part of the bag. I took one travelling with me and it was excellent, very resistant to pickpockets I would say.

@stuartbert two hats Look for camelbak branded stuff.  They were the original brand with that design and they do all sorts of variants of water/fluid carrying in that vein.

Camelbak are the original but they are well pricey.  There's quite a few alternatives that are just as good but cheaper these days.  The "big" pack I use for Mountain biking is a Deuter.  Very stable and comfy, expands to a fair capacity and has the internal pocket for a 3 litre bladder.  I've had it about 10 years now and it's like new (apart from the filth).  I'd highly recommend their stuff to anyone.

I've just bought one of these Osprey Ultralight Stuff Pack, it folds up into its own small case that you can put in your pocket: http://www.ospreyeurope.com/gb_en/ultralight-stuff-pack

Like the look of that to be fair.  Might be a bit uncomfy against your back if loaded with cans and doesn't look that big, but impressive for the pack size.

It's 18 litres, to be honest I don't plan on carrying that much round with me, I'll be carrying Disaranno  in a plastic coke bottle and if I want to buy beer/cider will get a nice cold pint from a bar, also my waterproof jacket, small phone charger, can't think of anything else! Will see what it's like when it arrives, can always send it back if I don't like it.. Was a choice between that and this 13 litre one: https://www.surfdome.com/osprey_backpacks_-_osprey_daylite_backpack_-_madcap_red-120244?_$ja=tsid:13319|cid:376865952|agid:28531180992|tid:pla-244854190032|crid:92716968312|nw:g|rnd:17599872788215909759|dvc:c|adp:1o1&gclid=CIT00ZuOscwCFZEy0wodZDECmA

Fair do's if you aren't lugging much/heavy stuff - looks perfect and 18 litres is easily big enough for a day bag.  We tend to stuff the day bags full of cold beers and ciders before heading out so may a bit lightweight for that.  Might have a closer look at one though.  Cheers.

    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
    • Out of interest keep seeing messages saying last 12 hours etc… to buy you full weekend tickets.  Whats that about? Do they take them off sale early?
