Do they want to bring their set up as such to the festival? And doesn't fit with the pyramid stage but more the other stage? An intimate gig in the tents perhaps? Again it would be a health and safety nightmare

Is this gonna end up like Bestival whew first they were thought to be headlining, then to be playing elsewhere other than headlining and then finally just not playing at all?

Muse against Adele makes sense. Not convinced it'll happen, but what other festival could put two massive acts up against each other like that?

If Radiohead are on at the Pyramid, Muse could definitely play somewhere else at the same time as far as crowd safety goes. Would be very odd for the festival to schedule it that way though.

Pyramid Special Guests? They sort of trialled it with the Libertines and it worked brilliantly, no health and safety concerns either. Just an idea to throw into the mix - though their sort of show would really require darkness.

The only way they could play Other is if it was against Adele I think. Who else is big enough to take away a huge percentage of the crowd who could realistically headline the Pyramid at the same time? I can't see it being the Legends slot either. If they start booking the likes of Muse for that slot then it is literally going to turn into just a normal 4th headliner slot, rather than a bit of fun on the Sunday afternoon.

They didn't trial it though, it was just the circumstances that made that happen, and it was a secret who was playing until the day (some people didn't even find out who it was until after the gig).

"Sort of" trialled it - it was the circumstances that made it happen but they'd never kept it a surprise for anyone else. I think it would be logical for them to use that as a safe way to bring in special guests in future. 

That said, I don't think Muse would be candidates for this because of the nature of their show.

Most people I speak to who are going are utterly unimpressed about the idea of Adele headlining. Sure she'd get a big crowd as she's sold a lot of records and just by virtue of being headliner, but it won't be anything like the Rolling Stones.

I think I only know a handful of people who like her, but she's the biggest artist on earth at the minute (somehow).

Literally EVERYONE I know tried for Adele tickets apart from mine and my girlfriends families..... I was actually quite surprised the amount of people I know who are going to see her. Madness in my eyes but for some (insert random reason here) reason she seems to be decidedly massive currently.
