Glad to see The Offspring is merely an afternoon band these days.

Also, the guy was right considering the '5 non-headlining acts today'. But there is no Thursday name yet, while usually they always have a name ready for each day at the start of the ticket sale + a lot of PJ fans say the tour announcement has been delayed until next week -> I wouldn't be surprised if we get PJ on Monday.

The Offspring and BMTH are good additions. Beirut this year in Paris was the worst show I've been to in my life although they were one of my favourite bands in studio. None of the members of the band do a step on stage, no new musical parts.... Bad.

But last year RW was in a different weekend than the others. And Roskilde goes from Thursday to Sunday, the other days are just local acts and other art stuff. And BMTH are also around during Pukkelpop, which they played several times before and where they could go high up on main stage.

the power of positive thinking!

Bruce Springsteen confirmed a Jan-April 2016 US Tour today. Any hope for Werchter / EU Summer Tour or just wishful thinking?

Springsteen would be a dream come true, but can't see The Boss coming to RW. TW Classic - that's more probable shot.

Anyway - VEERYYY happy with Offspring as a die hard fan. Will be my 3rd time seeing them,

I must finally give a listen to BMTH & Beirut.

Other two - not my cup of tea (for now), but who knows.

PJ Harvey and Tenacious D for Roskilde (30/6-2/7)

Bastille for Bravalla (30/6-2/7)

Guy Garvey playin English shows on 24-25/6

Bloc Party, Yeasayer, Caribou, Deftones and Iggy Pop for Northside (17-19/6)

Could see us getting all of them apart from probably Deftones, Caribou and IP.

EDIT: And what is with still no names for the Thursday when tickets are on sale? That seems very strange...

    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
    • 6music just shared a video of all of Fontaines DC singing along to the Cure last night. It'll be them. Booooo    Olivia might get up for I Love You though...
