Yeah i'd expect an announcement today.

Happy Friday Werchter announcement!

Also I would be interested in how everyone is doing Werchter this year cost etc.

I am personally planning on flying to Amsterdam for £30 stopping 3 night and then travelling over on the train to Werchter (2 hours) before flying home for £19 from Brussels Charleroi! Exciting times

We're flying from Manchester to charleroi 7am Tuesday. Spending Tuesday and Wednesday morning in leuven then heading to the festival in the afternoon. Fly back to Manchester Monday night. Already got flights hotel and tickets booked. Only thing left to pay for is airport parking and tokens.

Did you book your train tickets already? We're doing the same thing but spending 2 days in Amsterdam instead, not sure whether to use the train or the rw bus.

Remember that trains are free from anywhere in Belgium with your ticket.

Foo Fighters could be back in the frame for Thursday headliner as The Sun Newspaper has stated the Glasto headliners to be Foo Fighters-Muse-Coldplay. The Sun usually a unreliable newspaper have sources surrounding Glastonbury and were first to have the Glasto headliners correct last year and have got other music news correct. So Pearl Jam or Foo Fighters biggest contenders

I wouldn't be surprised if it's correct myself. Adele bottling it and deciding against playing to a 100k crowd would not be a shock.

But the Pinkpop organiser already said they won't come back next Summer, and Dave's "sorry we cancelled a Dutch festival" speech during the Amsterdam gig in November implied the same thing. That Sun reporter hasn't got any new proof for FF, just repeating his claims from June, while several other sources (including Neil's apparently) have been speaking against it this Autumn.

They have but if Foo's has already signed for Bonnaroo for eg in June next year then Pinkpop would be too early. I'm not saying it's defo on, just that I wouldn't be shocked by it.

weird that still no act is confirmed for thursday

Definitely someone next week, headliner or not. Next Friday evening, Belgium is going into 2 weeks of Winter holidays, and RW never announces during those. Can't imagine they'll leave the Thursday at merely a handful of sold tickets until mid January.

I reckon that is enough to pretty much forget PJ. Foo's suggestion from The Sun for Glasto can't be completely ignores.

I don't think so. On the contrary I'm optimistic. The shootings have a bit changed their program but they are rumoured by several TenC members for playing in Prague (27th June) and NOS Alive. Yesterday Jeff Ament (or Kelly Curtis) said they were gonna announce dates in the first part of 2016. So it would be logical to get them on Thursday. Usually RW gets two big headliners + two normal headliners; I don't know if Red Hot Chili Peppers are considered as a big headliner, but if they are not, we can expect another big name for sunday.

Hoping for a good announcement next Friday (Glen Hansard)
