I withdraw my opinion from last month about thursday tickets - they DO want to sell them out and they'll do it fast.

You think we'll see The National before Macca ?

Judging by the lineup page, Ellie Goulding is Thursday's sub. I'm expecting The National to sub on Sunday. Then you've got a trio of acts that aren't real headliners, yet will sell a big amount of tickets together.

That's assuming that they won't put The National before Rammstein.

That's the end of Radiohead / PJ dream :(

At least they did announce a big, fine name, even if he's not everybody cup of tea.

So, whats high spots are yet to be filled? Friday sub (or is it the Offspring?) and Sunday sub/Barn headliner (assuming TLSP will take one of them)?

Bummer with Ellie so high. But fuck it, sir Paul is there to the rescue !

Friday is already too much for me. We've got Robert Plant and The Offspring - two bands ready to co-headline. + ATDI...it's getting crowdy there. The National for Sunday then !

Spoke to the guy who told me about Springsteen last night. He says it's off and it's looking more likely to be Radiohead now.

Guess RH & Boss will be headlining Sonisphere now... :-D

Saw him last year at Amsterdam, can confirm he still got it.

And of course his song catalog is pretty much unmatched in popular music (and he's not shying away from a greatest hits set...).

Wonder if there's a new album coming from him soon? otherwise those dates are pretty random.

Based on the latest news don't you think that Radiohead could end up the festival on Sunday (July, 3)? It would be dream that comes true.

Not a chance. Flo is the head of the day...don't think it's good but here's how it is.

That would almost make it for me. No reason why flo doesn't do this years kasabian spot and Radiohead end festival in style. Surely that macklemore lot can't get that high a billing, they're utter crap

Never been huge on Macca but can't argue that he's a great name for the Thursday. I'm waiting for the Pinkpop announcement on Wednesday and then probably making a decision. Reckon we'll get our usual Friday fix as well?

Agreed with that. Sure he'll be decent enough but I'd have preferred others

They're the last act on main stage sunday night

That's really quite sad. After watching muse close last year that's a major drop in standards.

Sadly, Macklemore & RL were announced solely on Friday as they are doing with headliners and sometimes with big party acts as with the Prodigy last year. There is no way they made a special announcement and place them as a Barn headliner. In years they had a co-headline structure there were no dance act afterwards.

Therefore I can't see Radiohead happening :(

It's probably just them two festivals for them in Europe for the early part of the year.

Yeah but it makes RW looks strong with four headliners who can headline at any festival in the world (size-wise, Rammstein ain't gonna headline Glastonbury ever) plus one "local" headliner in Editors. Unless Pinkpop gonna pull a surprise on Wednesday, it's probably be more than all of their competition.

All that left is hope for a good undercard and although most of the top spots are already taken, know that surprises happen (as in DCFC scheduled in the Barn at 15:20 @2015 etc...)

    • Absolutely love her record, System. Definitely an album that rewards a bit of commitment.   She's right on my must-see list. Hoping she's in the Walled Garden, as I think her sound might be a bit muddy if she's early-ish in Far Out.   Ben
    • Same here, I kept trying to go on A View From My Seat to see if each block was worth it. So vague!
    • Ok, I’ve had time to process the experience now, so here is my review.   The good Barcelona - what a beautiful place! What lovely people! The city was like another headliner. Stayed in El Poblenou, and the bars, cafes and restaurants were perfect. Avalanches - Absolutely spectacular, euphoric set. Fantastic stage. Possibly enhanced by substances that I timed right, for a change. Added bonus that I don’t really remember the queue. The Cure - I’ve been a fan for 34 years, and never got round to seeing them, so this was a dream come true. The XX - The sound was exceptional. The lights and setlist perfect, giving each member their moment. Was really loud where I was standing (between the front and the sound desk), but i didn’t notice any chatters - even during the quieter moments. Also loved Men I Trust, .bd. , Big Thief, NewDad and Gorillaz. The food within Parc Del Fòrum was also a lot better than I was expecting.   The bad People talking non-stop throughout some of the sets, and shouting to be heard over the music. I had to move 3 times during Wet Leg just to be able to hear the band over the crowd. It’s probably an age thing, but I just don’t understand it. You’ve paid how much to watch these acts, and now you’re standing with your back to the stage, missing the music and ruining the experience for everyone else? Odd behaviour.   The weather apocalypse on Thursday. I genuinely thought I would be able to tough it out. I couldn’t. Left after Geese. The lack of communication from Primavera didn’t help.   Whilst it was lovely to be by the sea, and the sunsets were very pretty, the site is a bit…concrete-y, isn’t it? I kind of longed for some grass and trees. Often found ourselves standing on the steps by the Adidas yard by some bamboo. This was probably a subconscious need for some nature. The fact that some of the nature included cockroaches did not negatively affect the experience.   My daughter, for running away when she saw the drug dogs in the queue on Thursday, meaning that I lost her for the whole evening. She hid her stash under a bench, and it miraculously survived the storms.   Also, can someone explain the point in having a wristband, when you still have to show your ticket every time you enter and leave the site?   Finally, I would like to nominate myself as one of the bad things about this year’s Primabera. I should have done Primavera a lot better. It was my first one, so I’m still learning, but I think I left too early on the Thursday. Left after the Cure on Friday, so I would be full of energy on Saturday, and then barely made it to the end of Gorillaz anyway, meaning I missed Overmono, Skrillex, Skullcrusher, Kneecap, and a few more I would have liked to see.   All in all Amazing lineup. Decent food options. Cupra and Cupra Pulse stages were very impressive. Weather was perfect for 3 out of the 4 days i attended.   It was always likely to be a ‘one and done’ for me, but we had a blast, even if I am starting to get too old for all this.
    • That Wednesday Razzmatazz slot is one of the best/prime slots!
    • If they fancy chucking something together last knockings, i'm up for it! 😄 Got to get a cat sitter, but i'm 95% there
