Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.

WTF?!?!

Tbf, I think it's a pretty good booking for a Sunday night party closer. Sure as hell a lot more fun than Disclosure on Thursday. Could have just used with a few more names announced at the same time, definitely some more rock.

I think everything now hangs on that Thursday headliner. Get a good name there and it might make up for some of the recent awful announcements. Part of me is wondering whether Springsteen is booked for TW Classic, but since Pearl Jam dropped out of RW they're trying to persuade him to come over this way instead. Who knows though, I'm just completely fucking confused about everything!

It seems more and more likely that we're sharing our last headliner with Pinkpop, and they're announcing it Wednesday afternoon. That would mean Paul McCartney.

God, please. I'm starting to regret I bought ticket the day they went on sale ;/

I am not surprised either, and actually, I consider this as an awesome booking. The first Dance Act that I am actually looking forward to see. I am curious to see if they can be better than Major Lazor in 2014. That was an awesome dance party. One of the best I have been to of that kind of music.

So you're the one person who's happy with this announcement :P

Yeah. But now, I really REALLY need some more rock in my ROCK Werchter :).

If the rest of the line up is anything like the majority of announcements so far, that's not going to happen.  They seem to have completely lost the plot this year.

How so? So far I don't really have the feeling there's going to be more pop and electro than in the past years. Let's also not forget that we still have 55% of the names to go.

The ratio of pop-rock-electro is more or less the same every year, the difference just seems to be in the order that they're announcing things. The past weeks we've had quite a bit of tent and (after)noon acts that usually get announced only in March. We still have some big shots to go, and a fair share of rock stuff that's a semi certainty too (Biffy Clyro, Tenacious D, Iggy Pop, Deftones, Flogging Molly, ...).

Jeezus. It's getting beyond a joke now. I'm so annoyed with myself getting tickets before a reasonable portion of line up revealed. If i wanted a pop oriantated line up I could have gone to either T or V

To be fair Florence into macklemore would be weak for even v or t.

Yes, let's be optimistic :) We don't need 40 rock names because firstly we can catch maximum 8 names a day, and we've already acts we can't miss :) (Rammstein, Gütterdammerung), and Friday is already very good, we just need GOOD names among the number of coming acts, and it's still vey possible :) Glen Hansard could be there, given his calendar, it's a first good point.

no way they can be better than major lazer..saw macklemore at sziget in 2014 and the set was 50% singing and 50% talking with self-celebrating bullshit. btw when he sings is not that bad, but he cannot top a major lazer performance

    • Another note, if I didn't mention the food in the arena for main stage is right at the back. Bands wise they do very well for but as a festival so far they pros are outweighed quite heavily currently for me.
