I think it's good. Some amazing songs in Blackbird, While My Guitar and Happiness is a Warm Gun but I think the five I mentioned are genuinely flawless.

I love both those songs! Think I might be blinded/deafened by my love for them though. My least favourite song on white album is Glass Onion and ive been told by many a person im an idiot for that.

I originally thought this was a trite question, and that you're not really a music fan if you're thinking about it in terms of who is the best, because such a notion goes against the very spirit of things. Then I got thinking, there is an answer, and it's Bjork. Nobody touches her in terms of consistency and creativity, she's fully reinvented herself many many times, she has no boundaries or limit to what she can realise. It's Bjork, no doubt about it.

in many ways, it's a silly question, but for me it has to be the Beatles. they made British music cool in the USA, made writing your  own songs the norm, made albums bigger than singles, broke pretty much every rule in the book & smoked grass at Buckingham Palace. 

 

They also wrote some shit hot songs.

Bjork is without an incredibly talented artist with a hell of a back catalogue, but whether I'd say she was the greatest female artist of all time I don't know.  There are plenty of ladies through the year who have been much more influential, not least Aretha Franklin, Billie Holliday and Kate Bush.

 

For the record, Bjork is my favourite female artist of all time, but I doubt that is a view shared by the majority and it could definitely be argued that she has been far from influential.
