Yep.

And Moyes won't be sacked, Liverpool wouldn't be in the top 4 at xmas 2 seasons ago, and definitely not in the top four at the end of that season. :P

I'm making no great claims for Liverpool, nowhere near the ridiculous you're at. :)

That's the past though, let's talk about the present.

Liverpool are currently 2 points from being out of the top 10, also only 3 points from the bottom 6. There fixture list is pretty daunting for a team who have only beaten Bournemouth, stoke and villa this season.

Liverpool will struggle to get 4 points from the next 5 games.

This LFC fan can't wait to see the back of him. As Time has said, he's a deadman walking. Shouldn't have been retained after the fiasco at Stoke last year. The Madrid embarrassment was the final straw for me and a few players it seems. Gerrard for one.

And only won 5 of the last 15 games going back to March 16th when they beat Swansea. 5 wins. Newcastle, QPR, Stoke, Bournemouth and Villa.

Only three matches where they've scored 2 or more in the their last 22 games in all comps. Shambolic for the money spent. But, Benteke now in and Sturridge fit and scoring.............

Gerrard for one.

More Mourinho love in chat from Gerrard today.

So a race for Ancelotti and Klopp between Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool?

Mourinho is under pressure. Wengers time is coming to a close surely?

While Arsenal are competing for the title, he is going nowhere. If they finish 4th and are out in the group stages of the champions league then he could be in trouble. There is no way Ancelotti would be the replacement, I doubt they would look to someone to just come in for a couple of years.

Ancelotti is 56.

Was at the game last night. It was shocking.

Points I took from it:

  • Walcott is not a centre forward. We missed Giroud.
  • Arsenal have no players other than Coquelin that are willing to put their body on the line when defending.
  • After conceding the first of 3 of the sloppiest goals I've ever seen the only player to try and get the team going before the restart was Bellerin. He is the youngest player in the team.
  • I heard for the first time multiple attacks on Wenger from the crowd.
  • Olympiacos are awful.
  • Our only 'attacking' options on the bench were Joel Campbell and Ramsey.
  • Sanchez is back to where he was last season. We are already relying on him to win us games.

Can you see them finishing differently? They've Bayern x 2 next. They need a result in one of those games to have any chance really.

I suppose it depends more on the double header between the other 2 teams. If it goes for arsenal they could lose both bayern games, still go through by winning the last 2.

Last 3 jobs he has only managed 2 years at each, I don't think that's what they are looking for.

Chelsea, PSG and Madrid though. Most managers last 2 years at those clubs. He was 8 years at Milan.

They'll need to be very lucky.

I'd imagine Zagreb will get 4 points from the double. Meaning they will be on 7. We will have to at least get a draw in one of the games against Bayern.

Although it could very easily be 2 home wins between the two. Leaving all three teams on 6. It is decided on head to head records isn't it?

So arsenal will need to beat both Olympiacos and Zagreb by 2 goals in each

Yep, you need a miracle. Its the Bayern results(s) thats the tricky bit. They're on fire at the moment.

League form - played 7, won 7, goals 23, goals conceded 3.

CL form - Played 2, won 2, goals for 8, goals conceded 0.

Will be interesting what happens at arsenal when Wenger does go.

Very similar situation with fergie.

Why? Fergie was still winning things. Wenger hasn't got close to winning anything for over a decade. After he sold Viera basically.

    • I'm not sure, they aren't giving any headliner in that format 2hours and Foos would have at least 2. I wouldn't say Reading is likely for them next year either. If they are as said going big on a tour with stadiums and festivals then the UK is once place they can definitely do stadiums and that would rule them out. And that's even if they come back for a second UK stint as I fully expect them in Europe from very early. That could be seen as hyperthetical but there are is some places I cannot see them not doing from history.
    • One problem could be that many of the hospitality packages are already sold out. Unless you’ve a media contact, media organisations normally get a hospitality allocation.
    • I agree on WA taking a year off in 2027. But if they got the call from R&L could see them having a similar August to what Fontaines are doing now. A few random shows + 2/3 other festivals. The festival/LN does seem to love them as well so there is a chance they take a punt.   I did see about Rodrigo potentially doing a stadium in Poland but no clue if that would be 2027 or 2028, I just can't see her at the Fest at all, seems too big in current climate.   If I were to guess the headliners next year I'd go with Fred Again/Foos/Capaldi/Olivia Dean/Biffy or Wolf Alice/Some Rapper, Tems?
