Confirmed Secret Sets 2015 (read first page)

Stu, EE now appears to have twitter notifications enabled by SMS. I've been receiving tweets from offical G twitter for the past couple of days and just received the @secretglasto retweet

May be worth adding to the list of networks on the first page.

What network you on? I'm getting nothing, and no help on here really. I've followed all the steps from page 1

Yeah, I've just gone back into the IF app on my SMS settings and edited, got a pin for just entering 0044 then 77 etc as it only worked before entering 07 still after but that looks okay. All connected to Android SMS. How do I change the @SecretGlasto to SG? Nothing appears in My Recipes.

 

Typed in the pin it gave me and said connect, told me there was an error loading the page but when I went back it shows as 0044 then my number without the 0.

 

Well I disconnect and reconnected to it and though it said the error again it does say I'm connected to it.

The text just came through via IFTTT, and it said "SG: RT @PropagandaClub Propaganda is kicking off @GlastoFest with a Secret Silent Disco with @DjDanPropaganda &?"

Since for people without a twitter app this removes all the vital information from the tweet such as who is performing and which day, and the bar and times are included in the attached photo which we also cannot see, perhaps retweets aren't the best way to forward information on @secretglasto? At least not for people using mobile notification/IFTTT, I think.

Duh, I should have thought of that. Photo tweets will be off the table from now on!

I find it extremely hard to believe they'll be playing WG, especially when he's retweeted a comment saying they're playing. Mass pandemonium in the tent if it happens.

Right, so I got a Tweet about the Silent Disco Wed Propaganda Set but nothing through SMS via IFTTT. Do I need to connect to Android SMS as well or?

Has anyone got IFTTT successfully working on O2? Thewayiam is having a right mare getting SMS to work.

Well I download the app, signed up etc. Went to settings. My Profile has @my username on twitter so connected.

 

Sync options is use cellular data on.

 

Channels where there is a big icon variety. The Twitter icon says edit channel and disconnect channel. The SMS says the same plus my number and the IFTTT phone number.

 

It comes up when I put my number in as There was an error loading this view. Please try again later but when I clock back it then says connected so if it's connected properly I don't know. Tried this a few times now, even restarted the phone.

My recommendation is to follow the instructions on post 2 for setting up IFTTT on the web. Take screenshots along the way (but blur out the *end* of your phone number then post the screenshots on here.

Unless, of course someone else is clever enough to work it out.

Signed up for SMS notifications - I'm on T-Mobile but they use EE's network so it might work.  Will find out when the next tweet's sent I suppose.  Does anyone know if you get an error message if you try signing up with a mobile network that isn't supported?

I can't remember - did you follow the steps on post 2? As far as I can tell you shouldn't need the app installed and I don't think you need to connect it to your Twitter, simply to use the recipe against your phone number. But I'm just guessing

I've not had the command come up under My Recipe's page. The thing is though, it connected before without error 1st when I put 0044 then 07 instead of just 7.

Anyone?

I logged into online and for some reason I didn't see it before, I click the Tweet to SMS option to Add which accepted instant, checked my phone and a 2nd later it appeared in My Recipe's, changed the edit info to SG: for texts and Receive notifications for when this recipe runs so I should be sorted. Just need to set it up to share with a cheap phone now.

Sounds like you're sorted now though. If you're able to use the same SIM in a cheap phone, you'll keep the same number and therefore you wont have to do anything else as you'll still get the texts through whatever phone your SIM is in.

No worries man, cheers. I'm not unfortunately as the cheaper is a standard sim and mine is a Micro. I'm yet to get anything come through as a text message though via IFTTT or normal Tweet, probably won't get anything delayed bar what I already had though. While you're here, how would I go about setting this up on a different number, cheers.
