well I don't have a complete collection - 1979 I got in as a roadie so I only have 81 to 87 and ever since then I have been a volunteer and we don't get a actual ticket although we did get a trader ticket the first year they switched to photo tickets - but for some reason that was only one year - trader tickets look the exact same except there is no photo on it so they can be used by anyone { which may explain why they only did it for one year { for volunteers as they still issue a trader ticket } - crew wrist bands are a different colour and are ' EPO ' - it means Easy Pass Out - free movement through the gates ( no need to show ticket/passout as after all we don't have tickets ).
so I have a large selection of crew wristbands but no actual tickets.
what I do have is a complete collection of programme's from 1979 to date { we dont get them free we have to buy them }

or just go to the gate (from inside the festival) and ask for an extra prghramme - done this a few times since since I always seem to lose crap on the way in

I would not do that as I support GFL funding charity so if I cheated the system its just as bad as stealing.I don't mind paying for it { I only mentioned it as people who are not crew assume we get them free }

well it all depends who you work for as officially they are not free - the people you work with may be buying them in bulk - nothing stopping people asking but I know in all my years no one has ever offered them for free to anyone in the WBC.

I think there were a set number available, but they were given out to all recyclers and litter pickers in Tom's field from the office. Didn't hear anyone complaining that they'd run out, so I guess there must have been a few thousand available. Maybe the WBC have different arrangements.

Its not just the WBC as I know that various Security Companies don't get them and I bet no one who is working for Avalon will get them free either.
you should think yourself lucky.

Yes. Got the Royal Mail tracking link and saw it was out for delivery this morning. Waited for my other half to get home before popping out, as I KNEW it would come as soon as I went out the door. When I got back an hour later, there it was. He signed for it.

Cheers, I have my 2 friend's tickets to collect. Mine is handed to me on the Thursday of the festival. :cry:

Ticket worry , since I've been going Glasto have been using another courier rather than Royal Mail and I have always got them delivered to my work address, this usually comes on a week day as the couriers they used never delivered on a weekend. So as my luck would have it this year I get an email for dispatch on Friday last week saying tickets will be delivered in 2/3 days. We do no open on Saturday so I assumed it would arrive today. I get to work and just as a thought I thought I'd just check the tracker , only to find out that they tried to deliver on Saturday when we were not open! I went online and the card they are supposed to leave was non exsistant, I checked next door, nothing. I have tried to arrange re delivery for this Thursday ( nearest available date) using my tracking number and name on card and last delivery date, I have got an email confirmation of re delivery.... I just hope it arrives !!

just for the record what happens if there is some kind of fuck up on the bus and the driver doesn't have your ticket or something equally annoying?

If you have your eticket I'd get on the bus anyway (although you're probably already going to be on it when you,realise) Go to the ticket cabin (maybe kidnap your driver!) and explain what's happened!

Had my ticket redelivered today! It is now in a very safe place and will not be moved until I leave for the festival!

    • Was volunteering at the Women’s Cricket World Cup at Southampton yesterday. Was great fun.
    • Definitely see this as being 'weak' on paper but could see a few bumps up from previous sets at Download (Don Broco, Neck Deep etc).
    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.
