In some previous years, the trackway has been laid in Other stage field on the Monday of festival week as it's come directly from Download Festival.

How interesting! I was thinking more for where they build the stage though.

Wasn't this part of the 2016 problems - the trackway had got stuck in the mud at Download?

Yes, in 2016 it arrived still covered in mud!  We've seen them laying the trackway on Monday as recent as 2022/3 though, can't remember which!

Usually, by now a whole bunch of containers would have been delivered. Wonder where most of them come from? A tractor and an attachment called a dolly haul them from this yard (on the left) where they store a lot of the infrastructure and decorations. They also store the caravans the long-term crew live in here too. When the build isn't on the place is crammed!

They haul them to the bus area during the build. Currently, this is the latest in a while they haven't arrived yet. There we go! I am bored...

The caravans stored here are the non-roadworthy caravans used for the campsite crew hubs!

The farm looks nice and lush now with the trees in leaf and the grass growing!

Sunshine and showers is perfect for the farm . Think that’s set for a few days yet . Rubbish 24hrs here but now the sun is out . Hopefully things start ramping up after today . It’s been a bit quiet on the webcam after they started the pyramid covers

    • If the rumours coming out of the U2 camp are correct (big stadium world tour) then think they're more likely to do Wembley, Twickenham, etc as they'll be able to bring their own production and typically like to go big.
    • I was thinking big London date and lots of smaller ones.
    • I don't think they are too big for Castlefield these days. They've not had a new album for almost a decade and they like playing smaller venues. Maybe multiple nights is another option as they do like residencies
    • Second half of next week I would expect for stage times.
    • made a last minute decision to go to Belladrum festival.   it was absolutely wonderful.   never been before, to be honest I think I was expecting a stage in a field and a burger van, but its nothing at all like that.   the site is beautiful, its small enough to get around, but big enough that there are things to discover round each corner, there are a good number of small stages tucked away.   you could quite easily convince yourself you were in Glastonbury in places.   I may have only been one time, but already learned a valuable lesson - the site itself may be Glastonbury like, but the "general camping" campsite is very much Reading like! as the morning mist rises... its a view like the Do Lung Bridge scene in Apocalypse Now...   so if you are not 15 years old, go to family or quiet camping which is fantastic.   its a real family friendly festival to - loads of families and kids of all ages running round and stuff for them to do.   I would 100% recommend it, and I really can't see any reason why I wont be going back next year!   🙂
