How is your Glastonbury excitement?

I've had the tent out to check over, started purchasing Glasto essentials and booze, organised a map for friends to find our camping spot and created a plan for the journey there and pitching up. This is when the excitement goes into full overdrive... Roll on line up!

Have no excitement at the moment really but I know it will come. I have started thinking about what to pack though so I know I'm beginning to get it a little bit. Having the line up announced tomorrow will be good too!

I'm off the scale with this shit now. Shopping all done. Packing begun. Two nights in a row I've had Glastonbury dreams. And it is literally pointless for friends and family trying to start any conversation. I can turn any subject, however obscure, into a GF reference...

Pretty excited this year. Been working away from home for the last couple of months and I'm getting made redundant at the end of June, so with Glastonbury using my holiday I won't be going back after. At least I have this to look forward to and feel like I need it at the moment.

I wont go into all the red tape a person has to do to confirm their WBC place but its a right wind up even although I have been filling in the same forms for 26 years and I still have to confirm I am a EU resident - this will be repeated in a few weeks as I am working at latitude.
anyway its all done { last stage was yesterday } so I can now focus on going as its only 17 days until I arrive onsite.

    • My wife works for a music company, they have an allocation already.  They run a ballot for it early next year.
    • This is my guess too.    2028 festival breaks the £400 barrier.
    • Yeah I did spot that AXS had more available for the O2 shows Muse are doing, though I think that comes with the territory of AXS now being the venue's primary ticket selling platform.    My instinct remains they'll probably still play to a big crowd on the night - sales were similarly slow in 2023 but videos of those gigs showed the venue looking pretty much full. Equally it probably would be sold out if the pricing was even just slightly less ridiculous. Shave up to £50 off some of these categories and I think that would've got people to go with it.
    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
