Anyone tried this cider? http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=285779961

Any good?

Or should I stick with the boxes of Westons organic?

Cheers!

Yep I’ve left a thorough review on the previous page which even gives a hangover rating :)

i've not tried the Westons organic though so i can't compare

Invested in some of that aldi gin. Hopefully it's as good as the reviews

The Aldi dark rum is good too. Just wish they done them in 1L bottles too.

The best thing about rum is that it goes with pretty much anything that's already sweet. Coke, fruit juice, lemonade, ginger beer. I prefer spiced to dark but those Aldi prices are pretty tempting.

Yeah man, totally. It goes with loads of stuff. Prefer the spiced rum too, I have it with ginger ale its bloody lovely. Defo be taking some of that with me to Glastonbury.

Ahaaaa! Thank you both, and thanks Sloseph for your review. Most helpful!

I do like Westons, but is a little potent and strong tasting, so something that's a bit more refreshing might do the trick!

Well Tree Shaker is potent but not strong tasting, so while refreshing it's also dangerous

it's a bit like a kitten with a switchblade, treat it with respect and you'll have a pleasant time but disrespect it and you'll find yourself on the floor crying as you try to find your trousers

My stack is building, got 42 cans of Strongbow, Stella, Fosters & Thatchers. The mixture is a result of house party left overs. I've also got 50cl of white rum to go in 3 litre bottles of knock off redbull of late night drinking.

Also got 75cl of rhubarb & custard vodka & 1ltr of lemon vodka but I think my missus has dibs on that. But I'm sure I'll have a go on it too.

Might use this as a pretext to buying more Killie pies (doubt you get them in England but they are amazing)

They had a Tutti Frutti a few years ago which was nice but it seems to have disappeared :-(

Tutti Frutti came about from just mixing the flavours together anyway apparently ....so you know ask at the bar :P (Not sure if they still will :P)

In a move I may very well come to regret, I have ordered a bottle of absinthe for the big G.

Ha. Good choice...till Monday after Glastonbury - when you're a Broken Sir Robin...

Killie Pies - What the duece?

Does anyone know if they sell plum cider anywhere at Glasto?

Someone bought me a bottle a few years ago and it was lovely. It's sometimes called Plum Jerky or Plum Jerkum (according to the label on the bottle I drank). I haven't had it since, but I was thinking that maybe they sold it at Glasto somewhere...

Has anyone seen any brothers in cans for sale? Getting a bit desperate now!

I asked them on twitter and they said they'd be selling cans directly from the brewey again this year, if you know someone who can get there?!

Failing that, they do mail order

For the last two year I have been looking for brothers toffee apple in cans but never seem to find them, even there online shop don't have them anymore, so I have come to terms with the fact I'm only taking a lot of rum instead, and buying brothers when I get there :)

    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
