Jiffy you don't need to put the sweeties vodka in a washing machine.

Just decant the vodka into plastic of course and drop a few sweets into it. Leave it for a day or two giving it an occasional shake and the sweets simply dissolve.

Did you just use specific coloured skittles or whack whatever in? I assume you had to buy a fair few packs if you want just red skittles for example?

I might take some cachaca as well this year.

I met my boyfriend in glasto two years ago when I offered him "the most disgusting drink ever" in his words. It was a really warm and strong Jagger + red bull, now i think it brings good luck haha and its not bad at all...

Defo going to try the flavoured gins this year, just not sure on what sweets to us...mmm decisions.

As for supermarket Gins, I concur on the Aldi front. its bang on. but they only sell it in 70cl bottles, annoying when you want a 1L. This is a good website to use for comparing prices. I don't buy ought before looking at this now.

This won't be new to those on the Facebook chat group but Morrisons have 70cl of Amsterdam Vodka for £10. It looks pretty decent as well. It's not with the spirits its with the special offers in he booze aisle.

I've now decided to turn it into strawberry lace vodka and I might buy another bottle later on if it's still on offer.

Our alcohol buying plan differs from almost everyone, i am in no way efficient enough to buy deals along the way in the build up, we go to bookers just before getting on the motorway to glastonbury. Should probably start planning better i suppose!

Going for blackberry as ive heard good things...i found it difficult as i am a great lover of a good ol gin and tonic with a slice of lime!

Sticking lime in there too though

The all time favourite premixed festival drink.... Vimto and Vodka - great when cold or warm or hot

1part vodka, (cheapest strongest one possible)

1part vimto cordial, (sugar free is is ok)

2 parts lemonade (cloudy - no sugar added is my favourate)

(eg 2tre bottle has 500ml vodka, 500ml cordial, 1ltre lemonade)

and the 2nd best premixed festi drink ..... Captain Morgan spiced rum and coke

strong mix is ..

1part Spiced Rum

3 parts coke (zero)

eg (2tre bottle has 500ml of rum and 1.5 ltre of coke)

Was looking at infused recipes yesterday and have decided to knock up a batch of Watermellon and mint infused gin, ive got a feeling that could be a really nice mix of flavours and work warm or cold.

Im also tempted to infuse some Sailor Jerry spiced rum with cherries, as well as making the annual batch of Sangria we just carry around all day in a 5ltr water container!

As far as im aware they dont deslove. You leave them in there for a week at the least and keep tasting until the flavour is at the desired strength and then once all good just drain the booze from the skittles. Thats certainly what you do when using fruit although it can be a tad more complex as obviously your using fresh produce which can turn etc.
