I tend to stick to cider and move onto bourbon, but going on the coach is pushing me more down the spirits route I think. Depends on what the rucksack will take!

Classic festival drink for me is Jaegermeister though - take 1.5L of it with 3L of energy drink and I wander around with what amounts to a massive jagerbomb. Tasty.

Especially good versus £2.50 for a 500ml bottle at most places. I have a feeling I stumbled upon a shop up near the Park at one point - can anyone confirm/deny?

Or you can go to an ice cream van for a coke/lemonade if thats your mixer and they are all over the place

Wanting to make some voddie mixes before I go , any favorites ? Have tried the skittles one and loved it , would love a mixture of different ones , any ideas ?

Rhubarb and Custard, Kola Cubes

He said without mentioning drugs.

then i'm all out of ideas. eating chips and drinking beer isn't gonna keep you up for the night, but necking caffeine and popping a pill sure will! christ knows how i used to manage staying up late after the first night of festivals without something to help me out

the £2.50 are stupidly overpriced but handy as you can just drink the top and then mix in your spirit and have a nice little hand held drink. suppose you could do the same with the big 1.5ltr bottle, but you'd soon be absolutely wrecked

Yep, £2.50 but dead handy. Carry a squeezy pouch of your favourite spirit, drink down as much mixer as needed and then fill up with spirit, put lid on and shake gently to mix.

Works for me. But that also means I can't drink on a normal school night without being awake most of the night.

Spirits with sugary mixer are probably better for the normal person though.

okay, excluding ket or any other type of drugs, when would you recommend drinking/eating etc. to prolong the night?

Avoid complex carbohydrates such as chips and bread.

jerk chicken and rice or something along those lines would be ok (rice doesn't bog you down like complex carbs do)

- apologies in advance for the sensible response. I won't be following my own advice, I'll be tweaked to fuck all weekend, but happy to give it out :girlcrazy:

Serious lager question here: I ofter see people in the queue with huge amounts of cooking lager e.g Fosters, Carling, Carlsberg etc. These cans must get warm and be pretty rank after a few days. Why don't people spend the same money on some stronger/nicer beers or spirits which would have the same effect but without needing to drink 18 of them and be pissing every 5 minutes.

Always puzzles me this but I guess some people just like a constant stream of weak lager to guzzle on!

I usually take a mixture of piss lager and premium lagers and some brothers. I can't drink strong stuff all day and all night without passing out.

Chill your cans before you travel to the festival, then put them under your groundsheet - they will stay chilled for the duration of the festival :)
