Hi All. If someone could help with this question I would be very grateful. So I've done the test run (luckily my reg is still in date!) and I've selected my departure and as someone else has mentioned it states on sale on Sunday.

Firstly: Do you think we should just refresh this particular page at 6pm or go from the start? would obv be more preferable to not have to enter membership number and postcode, every second counts and all that.

Secondly: Will the times listed be correct, doesn't seem a huge amount of options from London and also unless I'm being incredibly thick I can't see the day of outbound travel, would be gutted to accidentally book a Thursday date.

Thanks for the help anyone can give me, and best of luck to everyone trying.

if i were you i'd have two pages open - one with page you talk about loaded up, and another with the initial ticket booking page up. try the first one first, and if it fucks up or doesn't work, quickly jump to the second page and start from scratch with all the details etc

With you on this, didn't fancy the coach at first but I just have to be there.

I did coach last year and I wouldn't go back to the train or car. No queing for the shuttle bus, no being crammed onto the teeny station or being sent onto the wrong train!

Good luck everyone, hope you all manage to get tickets.

The Thursday bus tickets are less popular than the Wednesday ones, my advice is if you can only get bus tickets for the Thursday, take them. Me and my wife can only ever go from the Thursday and as soon as you are there you will not care that you missed the Wednesday and you will have a weekend of bands to look forward to :-)

You want to be careful that you're in good contact with each other, because once the 4 are bought (hopefully), you'll have to put the last 1 in on it's own or it won't let you purchase it (in part of another group of 4 where 3 have been purchased already).

You might/probably already know this but I thought it was worth pointing out to you or someone else. We missed out on some tickets in the main sale because of something like this.

Yeah we've got a Glastonbury group chat ready for anything.

All the pain of October is resurfacing in my mind... Hopefully tonight will wash the experience of that horrible ticketless day away!

Im hoping the same! Cant deal with it a second time. Good luck!

Does it give you a time option for the coach or just a day? a friend is hoping to get tickets but wants to be in as early as possible Wednesday, to make the most of it. I found a national express coach that gets to the festival at 5,30am Wednesday from Manchester, so they aren't sure whether to wait until Sunday resale and go for this option. As I have said though it's much better to be sure you have a ticket in any form, rather than miss out on Sunday.

Think it depends where you're coming from. Popular places like London have several coaches at different times (I think), whereas smaller places just have the one.

Bpoking a separate coach would be easier for me, but I'm not lowering my chances of going by not trying tonight.

Thanks, just noticed on the current live page when you choose london for example, there are numerous options and times but none for the places my friends can travel from. Anyone with any experience buying coach from Manchester / Liverpool shed any more light on this?

Would be nice to just found out a rough idea of the times because if it's only a late afternoon coach it might not be worth attempting. Also the time of the coaches coming home is a biggie too, having to dash away from the festival site to catch a 2am Monday coach definitely won't appeal!

There are always people that say that certain computers/devices are better. A Mac works best. Or an iPhone on 4G. Or a Android device powered by kryptonite. But there's not really too much truth in that. This year in the main sale I gathered up all my and my girlfriends computers and devices and had them running at the same time. We had a MacBook Pro, an iPad, and iPhone on wifi, an iPhone on 4G and also a seven year old laptop with a cracked screen that overheats after 20 minutes of use. Refreshed all devices as soon as the tickets went on sale and the crappy old computer went straight in and I was purchased and done within 2 minutes. My main advice would be that the device doesn't matter, you need to be patient with screens loading and not have more than one screen running on the same device as that can cause clashes.

Speaking purely from personal experience my iPad seems to have the midas touch. Every time there's a massive scramble for tickets to anything it seems to be able to cut straight through the traffic, it's got me Glastonbury tckets, huge gigs and even the Olympics when there was a snap resale. The only problem I have is inputting all the numbers due to a mixture of panic and fat fingers!

Good luck to all those trying tonight and Sunday.

Yeah a few weeks ago me and my brother were trying for Big Weekend tickets, using two laptops, two phones and an iPad. The iPad got through like 4 times and nothing else got through once.

It's strange, this year Mrs Jass and I had four laptops (our personal ones plus work ones) and my iPad. iPad got through in minutes, we kept trying for others, got trogh again for some mates on the iPad. Nothing from the laptops. Also helps that when we moved it our flat I phoned up BT and asked what the fastest possible connection they could provide would be for this exact reason.

    • We head out in the morning. Couple of nights in New York then up to Boston. Enjoy the games lads and hopefully we get some great football to take our minds off the whole shitshow off the pitch.
    • White Stripes/QotSA at Harewood 2007, Tramlines (and Blue Dot, same weekend) in '23, and Elbow at Jodrell Bank '13.
    • Yeah exactly, the shock moments, group layouts, etc all end up playing out differently once you get into the tournament. However you tweak it, you don't predict shocks.
