Phew, we got there in the end, well done everyone!!

After stepping away for a few days to let the weather do its thing I'm happy to be back and fucking loving these forecasts.

By the looks of it, the only thing thats fucked this year is our livers.

Please tell us, just one more time, how utterly fucked we are.

Not sure where to start with this..

Surely the tent being use to you is utterly irrelevant, the point is not leaving your shit in someone else's field for someone else to tidy up and dispose of it.

And the forecast is looking fine thanks.

I don't leave tent pitched, just bundle it up in bin bag and dump on pile of other bags, cant see anything really wrong with that, hell i've only ever done it twice. Yes on looking at forecast its not looking as bad as first shown, maybe they have it right for a change

I'm not so bothered this year as I'm only there on locals Sunday Ticket, Daughter and friends doing 5 days, hoping its not going to be another wash out for them, not looking brilliant forecast though.. For me Glastonbury mud baths are something that completely spoiled the festivals i went to, no matter who was playing, usually had more than enough by Sunday, left a few tents etc behind, ok maybe  not the right thing to do , but totally wet muddy tents etc are of no use at all. fingers crossed weather forecasts are wrong

Not maybe, definitely the wrong thing to do.  How someone can even consider leaving their shit behind is beyond me.  You might as well go the whole hog and kick M Eavis in the bollocks on the way out.

Idiot.

Oh Oh!

Has the Nal turned too early? Will this behaviour influence that Atlantic low out there to do something unpredictable?

Off with you now to google indian rain dances and to find jpgs and gifs that best metaphorically describe how fucked we all are

This happy Nal on board with the good forecasts just will not do!

I'm on the red eye tomorrow morning. My involvement in this thread comes to a close early this evening.

There are two types of weather forecasts, pre and post countryfile. Anything post Countryfile is real to me.

Betty Swollocks 2015!

Even if you don't see it as wrong (it is wrong), the festival specifically ask you not to leave tents.

Remember the last time you said that it was looking good the forecasts turned to 2007.

Definite downgrade in the latest runs I'm afraid. Now a threat of some rain on the Weds and Thurs and a weakening of the high pressure on Friday.

Weds: Dry, though slight threat of rain has appeared to the north later afternoon/early evening. Very, very light nothing of concern. Pressure a tad lower than earlier. Max temp still 20.

Thurs: Again, the threat of rain has now appeared, though at the moment should be north of Glastonbury and there's not much to it. Pressure a tad lower than earlier, max temp down a degree to 22.

Fri: Very, very minimal rainfall if any at all. But once again there is the big band of rain which is hitting Northern Ireland and Scotland which could track down. Pressure noticably lower with the high pressure falling into the continent. Max temp down three degrees to 21.

Sat and Sun dropping soon.

Think we will have to beg to differ on this, yes i see it wrong to leave tents pitched and rubbish all over the place, but my rubbish, and its very little  is bagged and placed on rubbish pile. No problem this year as i'm only doing Sunday.

    • f**king horrendous and seems they couldn’t run an egg and spoon race.  zero info and the crush waiting to get in to see Massive Attack was potentially disasterous. Zero info, no stewards at all and was told that the whole evening was cancelled, when we got to the exit. Because it rained. First time attendee and i’ve got onsay, i’m far from impressed. Scalping bastard taxis asking €37 plus for an €11 fare too. Wonderdul.
    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
    • Hey guys, is there a group going for any solo y not goers this year?? I couldn’t miss out once I saw the acts but it’s just me and would be great to meet some others:))
    • After deciding to abandon the festival, here's a few of my thoughts (mostly negative tbf).    On the positive side - was it just me or were there a few more urinals than last year? Seemed to help the queues at the loos a bit from what i saw. Plus they had at least had some foresight and had a few more covered areas in the VIP areas.    Now on the negatives.  The weather was admittedly pretty crap but it wasn't apocalyptic. How the actual f**k are bits of the main stage falling off in those conditions?  Then the communication was awful, there's a load of people who left the site because they were told by security guards/other personnel that there would be no more acts on the main stage this evening.  You have an app Primavera, use it! Yes, there's a shitload going on I'm sure but communication with the festivalgoers should be one of the top priorities. You failed.    And I'm not usually somebody who buys into the whole "oh this is hugely unsafe and it's lucky people weren't hurt" narrative, but all the above led to movements of people that were genuinely unsafe.  Evacuating Mordor entirely (again... Why???) and then having a horde of people trying to get in because they thought they were going to Massive Attack was insane.  And given a lot of people basically abandoned ship around 10.30pm the crush at both the exit to the festival and the entrance to the Metro was pretty dangerous.   Conditions happen, most people will get that....but the contingencies have to be better.
    • You'd think that something like bad weather was in the basics of festival planning. After the shitshow of Madrid, you'd think they'd learnt their lesson, apparently not...
