Foo Fighters is a sure bet for next year, they're melvin benn's favourite band who have always played when they've toured and there's always one of the previous years glastonbury headliners.

Normally that same one will play beni as well but Foo's are in America but Blur could be a decent if not a rather optimistic one, I think it's more likely to see Florence & The Machine play (may not necessarily headline though)

They'll have another album out by then and I wouldn't be surprised if they did arenas on the tour that follows that. If it's anywhere near as big as their debut then I think they're a reasonable shout to sub. Not outlandish size-wise, but maybe a bit problematic due to everyone except me and Gweb thinking they're shite.

Yes size wise it is a sensible booking.

I interpreted DomDom's comment about it being depressing as a consequence of the utter shite music they make.

Oh, they will absolutely be big enough. I won't dispute that at all. I just really don't like them.

Imagine Dragons are quality. Pish live though.

New album is quality. I'd rather these headline than any other new bumped out touted header. Way more deserved than Foals.

    • Hot on the heels of outdoor gig number 1, the second arrived quickly! Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds in Malahide last night (lovely sunny evening for it!). As usual, fantastic gig (ebbed and flowed from tender to feral). Since they aren't touring an album it was very different to the Wild God shows from last year, with a bunch of tracks that hadn't been played in a good while wheeled out. Highlights for me were a blistering rendition of Hiding All Away (that merged into the end of White Elephant) and a touching interpretation of A Rainy Night in Soho to close the set (well after curfew!). @Superscally, still nothing from Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!! (they really must not like that album!)
    • I’m putting the 2026 code and it’s not applying the discount. Does somebody know why?
    • I think I’ve asked this before, but do we know why this is a ‘never happen’ one? I understand with Queen and Duran Duran, but I’ve never seen anything written saying one way or another if they’d do it. Would be an incredible get.
    • Here we goooo!   I never thought I'd say this at Prima Porto, famous for its rainy weather... I wish it'd be a bit colder ;D
    • I saw an interview the other day with Simon and he was asked about Glastonbury legends spot and he did say they consider themselves headliners and also said something like "The legends slot is a kind of headline slot" The actual wording might be slightly different but it gave an indication that maybe?
