yeah really enjoying that Tame Impala track. wasn't that excited for the new album really but that's just amped it up a notch

also love that Grimes song. big shame and quite frustrating that we won't get to hear that album - a departure from her previous work but a really good stab at pop music

Wanted to give it plenty of listens before commenting, and it's early days, but Carrie & Lowell might be my favourite Sufjan album. Can't pick any specific songs because I absolutely love them all (the title track is the only one that maybe hasn't quite yet hit me to the same extent). Staggeringly beautiful.

I like 'OK It's Not OK' by Corey Dargel. Magnetic Fields vibes.

Decent enough I liked it. its good actually.....but I prefered Electra Heart, just felt more fun I guess.

But yes, hopefully will be there somewhere!

haven't listened to the new one yet but i HATED Electra Heart. totally put me off her after having loved her first album

Has anyone been listening to Tobias Jesso Jr's debut Goon? Top album if you like 70's piano ballads and/or McCartney. And even if you don't, probably.

Was talked about elsewhere on the forum over the weekend. Lovely sounding record.

A really great album getting the most plays at the moment out of all the wealth of music that has been released this week

Don't think anyone's mentioned this yet- Kurt Vile has a new album out sometime this year and apparently it includes his best ever song, and banjos...

Looks like the record is still a long way off; Glastonbury might come a little early for him but it would definitely be one of my must-sees if he does turn up.

Yeah, it crept up on me as I'd missed the hype and not heard his name before deciding to try it out and it was stunning. He's been invited to stuff like Great Escape and Live at Leeds so hopefully he's taking the interest of more promoters and invited down to Somerset in June.

Something to look forward to! He's playing that Citadel Festival in London and tweeted yesterday it'll probably be their only UK/EU show in the summer :( I might go as there's a couple people I'd like to see that look unlikely to be at Glastonbury

I'd seen the Citadel poster, where it said they were a London exclusive, but not the tweet, which categorically calls it the only UK/EU show.

However, the wording of the tweet is " 'The Violators' are very excited to be paying their only UK/EU show this summer..." so he could appear as Kurt Vile, sans the Violators.

    • When do we get stage times through? Also, how close are we to full lineups for the Lorde and Deftones dates?
    • I would assume that Sabrina will be their plan B if Madonna falls through.
