I would like Four Tet in a big slot. Pyramid headliner, just him with his little desk lamp, blow the minds of the BBC twitchers at home with Kool FM.

A girl can dream eh?

Might be dreaming for a while

Ah yes, of course. Well, acts of that ilk, y'know. Some high energy techno. Not too much, just a few good acts.

And here's another one. Stingray on IICON.

I think you’d like Volvox then 🙂

Some fab artists in there, MadDog. Including some minimal techno big hitters! I'd watch Jane Fitz anywhere!

Im hoping Team Love aka Dave Harvey, team behind silver hayes can bring some of that heat to the farm. Alot have been booked by them for other festivals like Love International and Waterworks so there is chance of them asking them to do glasto.

I will obviously be keeping a close eye on the block 9 and shangri la annoucements as i will certainly be that way at some point over the weekend, albeit just NYC Downlow for Gideon and to see the rebirth of Genosys. But I really enjoyed spending more time in the silver hayes area last year with it having much more space to move and some pretty decent line ups, compared to SE corner, which was insanely busy and pretty stressful at times.

Not as hopeful for APHEX, Underworld or Modeselektor but theyre some of my favs and would be over the moon with them being announced.

Agree, we spent some of Saturday night at the Lonely Hearts Club and really liked the new vibe of the area

Was chatting with my friend about this the other night.  I’m thinking if Genosys is reborn AND Felix D is booked for the Sunday close, I might leave visiting that side of Block9 until Sunday night as I find the atmosphere is best when it’s just all the hardcore crew still partying and all the stressful crowds have gone.

I’ve given up on NYC anyway lately as it’s just too much grief and a conveyor belt of straight tourists 😂

Oh man! Block9 tourists notwithstanding, and no matter how much fun I had in Silver Hayes last year, I couldn't keep away from that bit of the SEC for all of the first three nights!!

Still so many stages and acts to be announced but already this a very good line up for lovers of all things electric and dance - Disclosure, justice, Peggy Gou, Barry can’t swim, Jamie xx, faithless…. Plus more - Definitely the year of dance 2024

    • My party again had an outstanding 4 days in Barca. We made the right call to leave the festival site early at about 10.30 on Thursday to get ourselves some excellent steaks in the city. I am with everyone that the organization should have been clearer about what is going on and also if you would like to get rid of some attendees open more exits, they sent us from gate to gate until we finally were able to get out. Biggest 'disappointment' was the beer price, a YoY increase from 5 to 6 is absolutely nuts!!!   Top 10:   1. Men I Trust 2. Role Model (could have been first as well, what a great artist and great songs) 3. The cure (the last 90 minutes) 4. Gorillaz 5. MBV 6. Ninajirachi (another big miss of the organization, clearly on the wrong podium and wonder if Olivia's surprise set had something to do with that and they had to reschuffle late the Occident, Cupra and Port schedules) 7. NewDad 8. Big Thief 9. Annastashia  10. Kneecap   We did 3 years Barca now and for next year looking at the Porto of Bilbao festivals as an option.
    • Personally if it was me now, I would be grabbing a green camping ticket with the knowledge closer when I've refreshed that I can still choose general if I want to....you can't do the opposite!    I would say if you are happy to watch your headliners and big bands further back to be able to see who you actually plan to later then yes it is fine. Its a much difference experience to any other festival especially food wise and camping surrounds.    Once you're in the arena as well you're not going back unless you've got a gap. If I go again I'll be going with the option of not trying to push the front and enjoying further back as you actually put too much pressure on it than the time take away can forget to enjoy other acts.
    • No complaints about the sound. We were like 2nd set of steps facing stage right in like the middle row.
    • On the whole then, yay or nay...I've had a look on festivals united and there's people who seem converted by Rock Im Park, I can imagine it might be different if it was a washout as RaR is tarmac.   The hotel side would be more to convince the non campers if it's an option. On my first visit to rock am ring we were shuttled into the area where you could stick the car next to the tent which was fantastic as it meant zero lugging of camping gear.
