Thinking about it though he was announced as a curator at nuits sonores yesterday so hope isn't lost!

Have you ever heard MCDE b2b with Laurent Gariner at Nuits Sonores 2014? It's on soundcloud, it's a fantastic mix

MCDE has cancelled his Phonox date citing health issues. Might discount him this year. Hope not.

He's just posted on FB about playing in Paris on Jan30th, strange that considering the Benji B thing wasn't until Feb5th

Aphex Twin nominated for best British male at the Brits, is love him to win.

It's never going to happen, but it would be glorious.

I'm sure the Brits have always had the odd "good" act in the nominees, they just never win.

guys who book love international also book the WoW stage and possibly some more of silver hayes, so I would expect there to be a good few acts crossing over. Its Team Love from bristol who also do love saves the day

IS IT thanks for that information MM, that's got me a little bit hopeful, almost excited

I see Moderat have announced a new record and some dates, a few of my mates seem excited by this, I don't know too much about them

Yeah great to hear! Missed out on tickets for the tour. The last album wasn't all that in my opinion. Loved the first one though. Seen them live before and were bloody brilliant! Could see them headline Glade.

Dubfire seems to be back doing the rounds. Seen him a few times, he would be a good line up addition.

He was at glastonbury in 2010. It was banging, but so bloody hot. Had to sit down.

Was that headlining the west dance tent? I didn't see him then but I saw him playing Pressure in the old arches in Glasgow a few years back, it was banging, a late night slot would be great for sure

Yeah. It was west dance.

There is plenty on the rainbow venues line up I'd be on for.

Hoping for Prydz or Carl Cox to do Arcadia on the Sunday night. After 2manydjs last year

See I could see Dubfire playing Arcadia, I think that could work, maybe not last on on the Sunday mind you. Arcadia seems to be getting bigger acts every year, so maybe one of them isn't out of the question.

is that for sure? It's not got days on either of their websites or their Facebook page - I presume that's from their itunes app?

It's been the Saturday/Sunday of the Glastonbury weekend in previous years, it's the 25th and 26th this year

    • Personally if it was me now, I would be grabbing a green camping ticket with the knowledge closer when I've refreshed that I can still choose general if I want to....you can't do the opposite!    I would say if you are happy to watch your headliners and big bands further back to be able to see who you actually plan to later then yes it is fine. Its a much difference experience to any other festival especially food wise and camping surrounds.    Once you're in the arena as well you're not going back unless you've got a gap. If I go again I'll be going with the option of not trying to push the front and enjoying further back as you actually put too much pressure on it than the time take away can forget to enjoy other acts.
    • No complaints about the sound. We were like 2nd set of steps facing stage right in like the middle row.
    • On the whole then, yay or nay...I've had a look on festivals united and there's people who seem converted by Rock Im Park, I can imagine it might be different if it was a washout as RaR is tarmac.   The hotel side would be more to convince the non campers if it's an option. On my first visit to rock am ring we were shuttled into the area where you could stick the car next to the tent which was fantastic as it meant zero lugging of camping gear.
    • An interesting thing this. Having seem them several times (some of their gigs veer into back catalogue niche territoty), I partly agree they arent Pyramid material (theough modern defeinition of 'bangers' although I could see them headlinging the Other stage) I can't think of another festival in the world that they couldn't headline - Reading, IoW, BST, Rock Wercheter, Roskilde, etc etc.
