Superscally
They'd maybe boil it down a bit for a shorter festival set. That's if they even have a new album out - though it does seem that one is forthcoming.... Album was recorded in Vancouver in May. It's done and will probably be released late November... Harmonic Prospector
I agree that Riff Raff is by far their best tune. It is such a shame that they haven't played it for years as it is probably the finest way to open a rock n roll show. It's a fuckin belter! So Angus even gets the shorts on for a guest spot. His is the Michael Eavis of rock. A sure sign that they're nailed on....
A Guy Called Matt
If AC/DC headline their set will be 90/95% older hits that the world knows. They would have a couple of new ones obviously. If they played lower down (which they will not) then it would be like Jack White and Robert Palmer did this year and what others do - loads of new stuff with a couple of well known ones at the end. Nah. They may throw one or two in if the played lower down (which they won't) but it would still be 90%+ old stuff.

Gnomicide
Unwise choice. Despite what the haters say, jack was good - and he didn't play if you tolerate this. He didn't play Motorcycle Emptiness either.
Buzlightyear
My first ever festival Motley Crue of course, best band of the day. I was there that day too..... wow 30 years ago...
Buzlightyear
If there is an 'old metal act' I'd sooner see Black Sabbath.... AC/DC are just like a heavier Quo....

Robert 'Palmer' played babe I'm gonna leave you, black dog, rock n roll, going to California, whole Lotta love. Hardly just a couple thrown in at the end. That's what the memory of Jack White did to me............ made me think Mr Plant was Mr Palmer............... or did Mr Plant do that? Zoo Music Girl
Unwise choice. Despite what the haters say, jack was good - and he didn't play if you tolerate this. He *definitely* didn't play Die In The Summertime either... Or PCP.

dentalplan
Probably depended a lot on where you were in the crowd and if you were surrounded by people excited for his set because he didn't do much to win the crowd over. I was positioned for a quick exit to Pixies so I got a shit crowd of people that had just walked over. Someone near me in their mid-twenties or so asked their friend who he was, which puzzled me a little as he was the biggest rockstar on the planet about ten years ago. Gucci Piggy
I was smack bang in the middle about 5 rows back and still got a shit crowd around me.
LondonTom
Shit crowd, but he was fucking ace still! Well I enjoyed it anyway (not long until the O2 gig!)

eFestivals
*crosses fingers*I think that announcement makes it more unlikely and not more likely.Glastonbury might have suited them as a smaller thing, but i reckon with a new album and a new set-up they'll do what they always do - have full control of everything (which they can't have at Glasto) and go for the money. dentalplan
Might they agree to play if they already have a sold out stadium tour though?
