Welcome back into the NFR fraternity/sorority, Yog. Nice to have you back in the thread.

I say go for one more big night, then crash. It's Saturday, after all!

Hello Ben

That's exactly the way it's going. There's a house full of laughter here, so can see no reason to stop just now. Thanks for the advice to stop though lucy - if I had one iota of common sense that's what I should do. But can't.

David Cameron was visiting a Glasgow primary school and the class was in the middle of a discussion about words and their meanings.
The teacher asked Mr Cameron if he would like to lead the discussion on the word 'Tragedy'.
So the the prime minister asked the class if they could think of an example of a tragedy.
A little boy stood up and said, 'If my best friend is playing in the field and a tractor runs over him and kills him, that would be a tragedy.'
'Incorrect,' said Cameron, 'That would merely be an accident.'
A little girl stood up and said 'If a school bus carrying thirty children drove over a cliff, killing everybody inside, that would be a tragedy.'
'I'm afraid not', said Cameron, 'That's what we would call a great loss'.
The room went silent. No other kid volunteered. Cameron searched the room.
'Isn't there someone here who can give me an example of a tragedy?'
Finally, little Johnny raised his hand from the back of the class and said, 'If a plane carrying you and all the Tory M.P.s was hit by a missile and blown to smithereens, that would be a tragedy.'
'Fantastic!' exclaimed Cameron, 'And can you tell me why that would be a tragedy?'
'Well,' said little Johnny, 'It has to be a tragedy, because it certainly wouldn't be a great loss, and it probably wouldn't be a fucking accident either

Good afternoon! It's nice out today, the birds are having a good old sing song in the woods outside. I've run some errands and am now going to have a bit of a sit down before dinner. Off to a friends tonight I think.

Hello Fred, and welcome!

Evening all. I haven't been so tired today! Yay! The living room is finished. All units are on the wall. Just need to find a really funky ceiling light now. The pooch is also feeling better. He always responds well to antibiotics thank god.

How is the pussy Matty? How do you manage to get that many pills down her? I have to disguise sams in his food but he ain't daft and often eats the food then spits the pill out!!

Welcome Fred!

Nice to see you back Yog

Glad your pooch is feeling better.

Puss cat (who is a boy) is doing OK....... he has hyperthyroidthingyism, heart murmour and cystitis/liquid retention on lungs hence all the tablets.

Thankfully he loves chicken as they are wrapped one at a time in that and he swallows them reasonably easily.

We have lists of what he has to have when - hence getting the pill box rto make it easier. Love him to bits - and his sister.

    • Ah, that is interesting and ruins my theory a bit!!   I think my point just about holds though, and coming full circle on this discussion, being a sizable band such as Muse and not being able to sell out two O2 dates very quickly or at all doesn’t fill me with confidence that they be able to do a decent job selling a stadium tour…although maybe if Muse do something about their pricing, maybe they can!
    • I’ve said it elsewhere too but Emily Eavis said a 2028 headliner was booked, to me that’s only going to be someone the size of Oasis or Taylor Swift
    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
    • Second go.....    Still f**king fantastic - Well done WIlliam Orbit -  Bugman & Trimm Trabb mega tracks - No Distance Left To Run hauntingly Beautiful
