Hello all. Haven't been on this thread in ages - I think it goes at too fast a pace for me to keep up with. I'm not sure about my going out plans tonight either. I've pulled an all nighter for the last two nights and fear that I will lose energy by this evening. That said, I haven't seen one of the people going out in over a year now, which is pretty shoddy on my behalf. Maybe one last fandango and then bed for a while. Time will tell.

Yog, you know as well as I do that means you'll end up on another all nighter. You may as well just have a rest now, attempt some food later then get back on it.

Hi everyone!

Haven't posted in ages but have been keeping up with all your news.. I'm currently digging out my shorts and tops ready for the sweltering heat we'll be having come June time.. wishing I'd not had that full English this morning looking at the size of them... best get the running gear out for later.. it's all the wine and cider too.. but need to get in the drinking practise!!! I need to buy a new sleeping bag and choose which scent of Lenor bottle I need to buy for those Mmm 'caught short' moments... getting so excited making lists and planning it all again!!!! Almost more excited than my first time last year if that's possible!!!

Welcome back into the NFR fraternity/sorority, Yog. Nice to have you back in the thread.

I say go for one more big night, then crash. It's Saturday, after all!

Hello all. New to these boards but been laid low with cellulitis for a week since my knee swelled up to the size of the Dolly Parton crowd & now the footie season is over I've pretty much been obsessively thinking about Glastonbury & watching out for announcements.

Is that normal for only my second festival? Is that what it does to you? Roll on June...

Also am I allowed to ask what the thread title means, or is that the first rule of nfr nfc club, that you don't ask?

No f*cking reason, no f*cking clue? I dunno, am I warm?!

Welcome and I had to ask the same question myself last year.

It means no fucking r*in no fucking compromise. The use of the wet stuff from the sky word is strictly verboten!

It displeases the gods whom we try to worship on a daily basis to ensure lots of sunshine at the end of June. :D

    • Ah, that is interesting and ruins my theory a bit!!   I think my point just about holds though, and coming full circle on this discussion, being a sizable band such as Muse and not being able to sell out two O2 dates very quickly or at all doesn’t fill me with confidence that they be able to do a decent job selling a stadium tour…although maybe if Muse do something about their pricing, maybe they can!
    • I’ve said it elsewhere too but Emily Eavis said a 2028 headliner was booked, to me that’s only going to be someone the size of Oasis or Taylor Swift
    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
    • Second go.....    Still f**king fantastic - Well done WIlliam Orbit -  Bugman & Trimm Trabb mega tracks - No Distance Left To Run hauntingly Beautiful
