Please recommend me Sunday night headliner :)

I am in need of help, fellow Efesters. Sunday night has nothing for me, as far as I can see. I detest Kasabian, Massive Attack and Disclosure ain't my cuppa tea. I'll go watch London Grammar or Suzanne Vega, but I'm not blown away by the prospect of either (Feel free to convince me I should be though). If anyone has any super suggestions I'd be happy to hear them. If not, let this thread sink into the depths of the forum and I'll accept my Sunday night fate.

100% Massive Attack for me so no help there. Haven't seen them since a festival in 1996 and it still stands out for me as one of the best gigs ever.

100% Massive Attack for me as well Great back catalogue of now well known tunes, though they are dancy trip hop so if you don't that type of stuff and are looking for a heavier style you are not going to be happy with what's around. London Grammar a boring live I've heard and there set at BBC live was not good, though she has a belter of a voice. Massive Attack is going to be great!

Arcadia for some amazing drum and base all night takeover. also Dj Yoda is doing an AV set at Williams Green. That is always a good time had guaranteed.

Do this:

Try London Grammar when they come on at JP - if they don't float your boat, mosey over to Suzanne Vega in the Acoustic tent, or get distracted on the way by Simon Evans' excellent comedy in the Cabaret tent - you can still catch the last half of Suz when she'll probably play her hits.

Then grab some classy soul with Myron & E at La Pussy Parlure, followed by Soul Train at the HEDS party, interrupted by a side-order of Francois K in Genosys, through to 4 in the morning when it's time to think of heading home.

Not headliners as such (2nd on the Bill on Avalon) but I can highly recommend Dry The River. For the last 2.5 years I have been obsessed with them and their debut album Shallow Bed is my favourite album of the last decade.

I have seen them about 8 times during that time and they are mesmerising as a live act, particularly up close and personal in a tent such as Avalon.

The best way I can describe them is a hybrid of the beautiful harmony driven folk of Fleet Foxes with the epic, orchestral crescendos of Funeral-era Arcade Fire played by a bunch of ex-punks and metalheads. The below Youtube video is an introduction to their album. If that sort of sound interests you then you really won't be disappointed.

Jus Now (live) in the Gully Outernational. I've no idea how live they'll be (and they're doing several DJ sets over the weekend, so Sunday night will be different), but it should be wicked if you're into dancehall crossover stuff.

Anti-flag at Leftfield. Nice bit of punk to round things off though the earlier finish time on that stage means they don't really feel like a headliner and you could go find something else afterwards.

I was leaning towards Jagwar Ma followed by DJ Yoda at William's Green but didn't realise there's over an hour's gap in between. I was possibly thinking about catching the Landing Show on Arcadia in between.

I'm still not 100% I won't be at Massive Attack though. I saw them headline the Other Stage in 2008 and absolutely loved it. But I have a thing about doing the same thing twice at Glastonbury.

Definitely a couple of nice post-headliner options. Chances are I'm going to miss Bomba Estereo during the day, and it looks like they'll be playing again later on (though still TBC whether it's in the Rum Shack or HMS Sweet Charity).

At the minute Peatbog Faeries and Jus Now are probably in pole position, but both are pretty far down my list of must sees.

Massive Attack for me too, although highly recommend DJ Yoda - saw an AV set of his a couple of years ago at Camp Bestival and it was brilliant.

One year (I think 2004) we didn't fancy any of the Sunday night headliners so were wandering through the Caberet fields and stumbled on a Bill Bailey set on the outside stage, which hadn't been in the programme. Was brilliant. There will always be something to find.

I'm struggling a bit for Saturday night headliner. At the moment my front runner is Dexys on the Acoustic set. But may just have a wander round and see what we find.
