Well in summary... I have kids, I have an album, I got upset when one of my kids went off to uni, I don't drink green tea anymore, I used to have lots of boyfriends, I'm not going to talk about my tour, i like to relate to people....

Nada

She's not the final headliner. There would be at least some mention of it! Or festivals... Or UK events!

Neil was right :(

I think the - I want the show to be a surprise for audiences in August - kind of rules out her having it televised in June

What's everyone up to over Easter? I going to Nottingham to see brother-in-law and his lovely wife for few days

We have Italian relatives over we were going to go to the pub drink chat watch the game - instead they bemusedly sat on my sofa whilst we listened to the most boring interview in history!

for everyone who just sat through that - why on earth would they announce the final Glastonbury headliner on Radio 2 with no build up at all on social media or via the press?

Because they can, not that it was ever going to happen, but they've done it in the past and they will do it again

What did they do for the first two headliners?

I've no idea.

And i've no idea why we'd subject ourselves to that.

Now please excuse me whilst i go outside and self-flagellate.

    • Very quiet in here at the moment.....again.   I hate this time as other festivals start and we see who Sziget should've booked 🤣   The Cure knocking it out of the park once again at Primavera showed that they have fans of all ages and, even if it's felt they don't represent the direction Sziget is going in, they would've been a huge draw.   Ditto The XX, who I've never been a massive fan of tbh, but put me in my place at Primavera with a cracking set.

    • Yeah, I feel like people are really overlooking just how fantastic Simple Minds are. ABC have a classic 80s new wave album behind them as well.   That being said, yeah it's not worth travelling for. But it's a lineup I would be happy with if it were local to me
    • On the Wet Leg crowd - the opening day always has the worst crowd of the festival. A lot of locals show up purely because it's a cheap evening, often with not much interest in the acts performing, so, while the talking is an issue throughout the festival (and increasingly at gigs/fests everywhere) it's particularly rough on the Wednesday every year. I'll only bother next year if I really like the act playing.  The wristband is basically a souvenir these days, which I like, as I keep them. Also I guess for the festival it's kind of cheap advertising as people walk around the city with them on.
