I've just cancelled my hotel for the weekend of this. Hadn't bought tickets yet but the way they've lined up the acts is woeful, plenty of bands I wanna see but how many of them I'd actually get to see has made me decide it's not worth the money.

One of the few times that stage splits have made a festival look worse instead of better, and the new additions haven't helped.

Can't help feeling that the 2nd and 3rd stages would make a good lineup for a small festival though!

Clashes this year are a nightmare. So many good bands, so little time.

I genuinely think this years DL has the worst clashes I've ever seen. Of the announced bands so far, I'm interested in around 30, but realistically Id get to see about 11.

Glad I got to see fightstar weds as it means I don't have to miss any of slipknot. They were great too, played everything off the ep which is pretty much the best stuff they did. Also confirmed they're working on a new album.

Bit disappointed that it's Charlie solo rather than Fightstar playing Takedown next weekend. They'd fit in much better than his solo stuff does.

I'm pretty happy with the line up I did mainly buy my ticket to go see KISS because I've been a massive fan for years and saw them in 2010. Theres loads of the line up for me but I agree it is top heavy for me I can't find anything I've heard of that I would go see just name wise from the line up but I will be checking bands out regardless. Out of most of the line up I want to see Slipknot, Priest, Muse, Faith No More, Rise Against, Bodycount, (Andrew WK but if he clashes with Faith No More or Muse then i'm not fussed), Ace Frehley, Kiss, Motley Crue, Slash, Billy Idol and a few more. Billy Idol I think could be a real highlight for me he's the only one i've wanted to see for years and never had the chance to.

Suicidal Tendencies, FIDLAR & Marmozets all got announced for Southside in Germany the weekend after Download today. All three of those would beef up the line up nicely!

Yep. I wouldn't consider FIDLAR a Download style band but I would go see them again if they were there.

Hawkwind, Therapy?, Corrosion of conformity, Devin Townsend.

Not sure if there is any room on the bill for any of them though.
