I have no words. Now you have me down as a naysayer ......... Nooooooooooooooooooooooo - I have integrity and taste - and am far too old to have ever been into A or Busted!

I rest my case - The world IS going CRAZY .............

Clashes this year are a nightmare. So many good bands, so little time.

I genuinely think this years DL has the worst clashes I've ever seen. Of the announced bands so far, I'm interested in around 30, but realistically Id get to see about 11.

Based on the clashfinder I'm currently doing:

Counterparts

Gnarwolves
Defeater

Clutch
Allusondrugs
Judas Priest
The One Hundred (Although may not do this as could see it being hard to get in for Fightstar)
Fightstar
Slipknot (End of the set)

Heart of a Coward
Mallory Knox
Hollywood Undead (don't really care about these three but seen them all before and they'll do for now)
Parkway Drive
Creeper
Rise Against
A Day To Remember
Faith No More
Marilyn Manson/Muse (probably Manson then Muse... depends on what tours get announced and how good the Muse album is.. think Manson will start bit earlier than clashfinder says... probably not long after FNM as Andy made out they don't clash much)

Cavalera Conspiracy
Tremonti
Eagles of Death Metal
L7
In Flames

Motley Crue
Enter Shikari

Kiss (End of)

I'm pretty happy with the line up I did mainly buy my ticket to go see KISS because I've been a massive fan for years and saw them in 2010. Theres loads of the line up for me but I agree it is top heavy for me I can't find anything I've heard of that I would go see just name wise from the line up but I will be checking bands out regardless. Out of most of the line up I want to see Slipknot, Priest, Muse, Faith No More, Rise Against, Bodycount, (Andrew WK but if he clashes with Faith No More or Muse then i'm not fussed), Ace Frehley, Kiss, Motley Crue, Slash, Billy Idol and a few more. Billy Idol I think could be a real highlight for me he's the only one i've wanted to see for years and never had the chance to.

Suicidal Tendencies, FIDLAR & Marmozets all got announced for Southside in Germany the weekend after Download today. All three of those would beef up the line up nicely!

Yep. I wouldn't consider FIDLAR a Download style band but I would go see them again if they were there.

Been there before and apparently went down well. Really hope they come back. Actually all three of them would be huge additions for me

    • I got in for £11.25 in the end, which was absolutely ridiculously good value, and made the queues and overselling of the venue much more tolerable! Sniping in on other people’s unwanted tickets on the day of an event might become my new hobby I think 🥳
    • Ann and Nancy Wilson are planning a final world tour for HEART starting next year. They were never at Glastonbury. They should do it.
    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
