Anyone know of any radler type drinks that are sold in cans instead of bottles over here? Only ever seen those in Poland. Not the most alcoholic of drinks but they don't taste as bad warm compared to standard beer

I saw radler being sold in Aldi last week but can't remember if it was in a bottle or can.

Couldn't imagine a worse drink to be served warm

Having had some for the first time in years yesterday (from a bottle) before it'd been in the fridge long enough, think I'd need to be pretty desesperado

Does anyone know if you can get desperados in cans? I've only found it in bottles, I'm not sure how it would taste warm anyway though.

It does exist but I got it in France several years ago, not seen cans in the UK though. I think its disgusting when its chilled never mind warm

Quick Bump
Last year as a glasto virgin I spent my time at the Cider Bus (not knowing about the Brothers bar )
I was just wondering how much it is for a pint of their cider and with this in mind what do people reckon thatchers gold will be priced at?

Saw it in a local supermarket over here in Spain the other day but that's no use.

Cant you just take tequila in a plastic bottle and beer in cans and put a shot or two in the can when you open it?

i tried this in a pub (as well as a slice of lime) and it tasted like shite. i don't know what they're putting in their beer over at the Desperados factory but it sure as hell ain't tequila

Tequila and beer and lime is nice - tomato juice and salt round the rim goes well too. It's called a Michelada in Mexico.

Desperadaos to me tastes like shite - watery french syrup flavoured lager, masquerading (and pricing) itself as a premium product.

I'll be taking some gin and some tonic I think this year, along with whisky and coke... unfortunately due to limited availability and cost of great beer in cans I'll be sticking to 30 of whatever 5%ish lagers are on offer at the time. That will see me through most days of the festival. As for the nights, well...

Im not going to repeat my mistake of last year and take almost nothing but cans of lager which had heated to undrinkable temperatures by the friday afternoon forcing me to spend a lot more on `buying` drink then I wanted to.

Probably a selection of spirtis poured into 2l coke bottles and buy mixers when up there(didnt do it last time so anyone know how easy, cheap this is? can you buy big bottles or am I constantly going to have to be buying loads of those little coke bottles?) Most likly some whisky/bourbon (got half a bottle of four roses small batch I may use up for glasto along with an unopened bottle of jd) and some kraken spiced rum.

Other then that either ales or cider both of which arent half as bad slightly warm as lager!

I use to take my own premixed spirits however I stopped doing that 3 years ago. The 1st year I thought 2x 2 litres of fanta and sprite to store in my tent. However as you can imagine it got a bit warm. Last year they only seemed to sell like the medium size sharer bottles at the shops. So I bought as I needed but the queues can get a bit long and I didn't have the patients to wait around. This year I might buy them at the start if each day or just buy 2x 500ml bottles to save the hassle plus they'll be cold

Tesco have another one of their 2 for £18 deals on various multipack cans starting tomorrow for a week. Mainly largers and ciders plus Smiths, Guiness and Old Speckled Hen (yum!). 33 different drinks included in the deal but some are in bottles.

I've also decided to make some flavoured rum this year. Usually done vodka but not really a vodka drinker. Thinking of doing the same flavours as last year (pear drop and rhubarb & custard). Anyone tried these with white rum instead of vodka before?
