Metallica will be headlining the Pyramid as far as I'm aware, but it's also exceedingly clear that they would be on the Other Stage if Prince had said yes.

In fact, as there's the remote possibility that Prince might still say yes before the May announcement, I guess it's still possible that Metallica could end up on the Other, maybe.

Michael said on that Irish interview that they had for Saturday night "2 or 3 lined up for that slot and a pecking order kind of thing"

Emily says it was booked weeks ago.

One of them is telling porkies.

In order of preference for Michael who has the last word it would be Fleetwood Mac then Prince then Metallica I guess.

The first two can't commit and Metallica would jump at the chance to pick up thousands of casual listeners,plus it ensures a sellout in the resale due to all the metal heads picking up the spares.

Doesn't seem likely in light of Emily saying that the special guest was booked and confirmed a couple of weeks ago. I reckon you're right, it's Metallica.

the fact that they've released the lineup in a different format than usual (scattered rather than in some kind of order) makes me think that there may be some unfinished placing / ordering, i.e. hoping for Prince. maybe i'm just looking in to it too much, but this is a first for the way they've done the lineup isn't it?
