Fantastic track. Reminds me of "Bad".

i recall that you and Nal were mentioning something that sounded like "Bad" on here just b4 Glasto, and i was baffled, but you're right in that the the live version of Come to the City does have a resemblance. pretty distinct from the album version though, hence my bafflement initially on the link to 'Bad'. both sound great, mind you.

Another UK tour? Nice

Got a ticket for the Glasgow gig in November and will probably end up going to Edinburgh too.

Loving this song just now from the first album, still need to pick it up on vinyl.

sounds like a mix between coldplay and u2, which should surely be berated on here, but its the NME flavour of the month, so let it pass.

good lord that article lead me to another article which contained this snippet:

And then back in 2005 a story broke on Popbitch that Cave had been spotted with his child at a pantomime starring X Factor quarterfinalist Chico (who had his 15 minutes in the mid noughties). Cave was apparently seen holding up a foam hand and mouthing the words ‘It’s Chico Time!’ along with everyone else in the theatre.

ffs!

Why's that not on the Cave thread then huh!?

Yeah, it sounds sad, and people on here want to be cool so always jump on the cool bandwagon, but they also like NME which is SAD, and NME thinks its cool, so all you losers pretend you actually like it.

Dan. Shut the fuck up.

Finally listened to Lost in the Dream. It’s a bit good. The Springsteen/Dylan etc influences are obvious, but I really like the chilled out New Order vibes that pop up every now and again, which I hadn’t seen mentioned, so it came as a nice surprise.

This was what got me round to finally listening to them, at a time when I really needed to read something just like this. http://pitchfork.com/features/articles/9509-the-war-on-drugs-inside-man/

    • Set times are out on the app!    Couple of clashes on the Lorde & Deftones day for me but could be a lot worse!
    • I'd love Sam Fender but yeah I reckon he's too big, rumoured for Glastonbury as well I think.   I was thinking Wolf Alice, Blossoms, Phoebe Bridgers, Brandon Flowers, Lily Allen could all be Obelisk headliner shouts but honestly I'm struggling for names a bit. Would love CMAT but I think she said she's taking some time off. Maybe Jungle could be a shout but they've moved away from a dance headliner seemingly.
    • It was always going to be the cost. stuff like this:
    • Man/Woman/Chainsaw anyone? Still 4-5 secret sets to be filled.   New album out today and Rough Trade friendly.
    • can't edit, but just to add to the above:   i get that the last bit is meant to reinforce the message that they are all horrible people and closing ranks to cover up what has happened and carry on with their lives while poor Celeste is left alone with her trauma...   i get it thematically, i just really hated the way it was on screen and i say that my ending would have made for a better movie.   🙂
