When was that confirmed? Must have missed that.

It hasn't as far as I'm aware, I was talking to a mate who's friends with a music journalist who's recently interviewed them, and they said they'll be playing the tent at TITP

Oh right. I guess they'll be clashing with The Libertines then as I don't see them being lower than subbing it. It's strange as I thought Alt-J would be on the Radio 1 Stage at that time and a Libertines, Alt-J, Vaccines clash wouldn't make much sense.

Official Site's Essential Information section has the Arena Entertainment ending at midnight on the Saturday, not sure if this has been mentioned, starting at 2pm on the Friday.

What does this mean for libertines/avicii? Could we have a potential libertines and courteeners clash? That would be catastrophic

I finally booked up today. Just coming up for the Sunday (too many friends with differing shift patterns means that's all we could do this year) but really looking forward to it! James Bay and Years & Years are my top must sees.

Roll on July for my 8th T! (First since 2012!)

Not totally T related but I've noticed that Catfish & the Bottlemen and The Prodigy have today joined The Vaccines in announcing UK tours with no Scottish dates while playing TITP. I know T have a history of making bands withhold Scottish dates until after the festival so do we think we'll still get dates on these tours?

Especially hoping for The Vaccines now that it's highly likely they'll class with The Libs and missing the Glasgow gig a couple of months back.

EDIT: Turns out CATB have announced a couple of Scottish dates, they weren't being reported earlier!

Yeah, DF have done this for the last few years (since T started not selling out). They'll announce a load of winter shows of the bands playing and put them all on sale the following Friday (with posters scattered around the site at T).

The Prodigy and Catfish tours really baffle me, regardless of both their titp slots, Prodigy could sell out the hydro and catfish the barras again. Don't quite understand both their decisions

Seems to me that Catfish are touring the cities they missed in their first 2015 tour before they release their second album.

It's weird, DF have done it for the last few years. I don't see the connection either. Someone isn't going to buy a £200 ticket because they would go to one band's gig who don't appear to be coming to Scotland. Not to mention that T goers will probably be short of cash when the tickets eventually go on sale the weekend after the festival.

Prodigy's tour seems odd for a few reasons, but yeah I expect them & Vaccines to add some Scots shows.

With regards to the clashfinder, done some scrolling up and a lot of you are saying Vaccines will clash with Libs/Alt J, seems a strange one to me as I'd thought they'd attract plenty Libs/Alt fans.

I had Proclaimers in that slot as it's been confirmed they're in the tent so I'll do some shuffling to fit Vaccines in the tent. Likewise with putting Laftontaines on mainstage as it appears is happening.

You could probably just bump everyone in tuts down one and put The Vaccines in above them and maybe move Jungle/Enter Shikari if there's too many acts for tuts that day.

To be honest - I don't think the stage split announcements and the T-Break announcements are linked. Was probably just a coincidence they were announced one day after another last year.

Faithless have big news coming tomorrow - i doubt that's linked to T either though.

    • I guess we'll just have to wait until videos of the shows go up, but the fact that the standing is also greyed out still suggests to me that those sections just sold out out before the others and a blue block just be like 3 tickets left, it's still not concrete proof they never went on sale and if they were never on sale why would they not make it even, if 414 wasn't on sale then you'd think 409 wouldn't be either
    • Selfish, but I've done the 2 days I'm there.. i'll try to do the rest through the day but might get beaten to it as it's editable....    https://clashfinder.com/s/ape2026/
    • I don’t think the festival automatically ‘need’ to have a female headliner if you have strong female headliners on the Other Stage (which I reckon will be Rosalia and Phoebe Bridgers), perhaps a female legend (praying for Annie, will take Cher), and a few female/mix gendered subs on the Pyramid (maybe London Grammar, The xx). From what I’ve seen of Sabrina, her team prioritises the pay day and I think she will be doing Wembley over Glasto weekend.   One thing I’ve noticed is a lot of the suggestions would be first time headliners and I can’t work out when the last time was that the festival had three artists top the bill that hadn’t topped it before? It seems to be something they like to do to make sure they have a ‘safe’ headliner that will land well with the masses. Plenty of names in that hat that could step back up next summer and should/could be about: Billie Eilish, Adele, Foo Fighters, The Cure, Radiohead, U2…hell, if Beyoncé is really planning to release a ‘rock n roll’ album to complete her Renaissance trilogy, Glastonbury would be a great place to ‘kick off’ that campaign for her.   And there’s always the Rihanna rumour. Her husband (I think) said this week she’s in the studio.
    • And all (or all but one) of the secret sets repeats though?
    • 1. Coming with my sister (our 4th Sziget together) 2. 3 days (Thursday-Saturday). Would rather do Tuesday-Thursday but not enough AL 😞 3. Wednesday evening  4. Apartment  5. FATM (will be my 10th Florence’s gig) 6. Parcels/Paris Paloma
