Selling your ticket last minute

I just wanted to ask if anyone else has had success selling there ticket last minute? A friend of mine could not go last year after suffering a serious injury, we sold his ticket to another friend of a friend who got in fine with it...(face value before you ask). The Oxfam lot asked no questions.

Last year was such a high for me and the good weather I think really was the icing on the cake :sungum: . Probably my finest Glastonbury in over 10 years of going. If the lineup aint up to scratch and weather is looking bad last minute I quite think that perhaps someone else my benefit from my ticket, but this is where the system falls down in that you can't pass them on to other people.

I bought 2 tickets last year in the resale for people who had decided immediately prior to the resale (though not told me) that they didn't want them (never again).

They were sold at face value and I'm told the buyers got in no questions.

However, would I risk it as a buyer? All the way there with all my shit to be told 'no'? No way...

I would risk buying a ticket like that if I really wanted to go. All you would need is the persons driving licence and ID and perhaps another letter with there name and address on it.

I'd say as long as your white/Asian/black male/female around same age and same build you should be fine.... As was the case with this chap who got in on my mates ticket.

I reckon I'd risk it, I'm currently without a ticket so fingers crossed for the resale, however I don't think that the Oxfam people on the gate are big enough morons to really reject people? Or is my optimisim over-riding the realism? At the end of the day my thought is the same amount of people are going to get through the gates, so does it matter who the people are who bought tickets?!

I believe the current arrangement looks to strike a balance between the negative PR / ill feeling caused by people selling tickets for hundreds/thousands and on the other side, people who buy tickets 2nd hand (at face value or otherwise) and not wanting to completely fuck up their day.

As a moron that has stopped people from coming through the gates with a questionable ticket, I will add that it is not just down to one Oxfam Steward checking. Also, if you are a sent to the enquiries cabin you will need to be a pretty good liar and have a lot of documents to fool them. It is getting stricter each year as the licence of the festival depends on it. There are inevitable people that will get past a few checks with such numbers but there were also a lot turned around. Glastonbury festival also does spot checks on the stewards checking to keep the standards up.

Personally, I think people that are liable to change their minds about coming to the festival based on a lineup or bad weather forecast should give up their tickets now and have them available for the resale for people, many on here who aren't so moronic.

It's not just the Oxfam ticket people at check in, or their supervisors, but there may also be local authority licensing people around checking the checkers.

So it's not a case of 'more than my job's worth' it's a case of 'more than the festival is worth.'

Yes, you might get away with it. I wouldn't risk it.

I have in the past met another Glasto goer and swapped a CV East for a CV West pass before. But I think even those tickets will now have the lead booker's name on it.

    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂

Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
