I have had mixed times at Brixton Academy, been tons of times before and occasionally you just end up in a pocket of dreadful people at a gig, similar things have happened to me at various venues over the years - if anything I was probably an annoyance to a few people around me because my phone kept on playing up and reverting to a flashlight for some reason? So apologies if anyone had a bright light shone in their face at any stage at the gig :-(

The real frustrating thing at this point is that we started off the night prior to JH coming on stage up the front over at the left.

Ah, dunno. Going to a gig in London from Dublin aint a cheap affair, so it would want to be something pretty special to drag me back. Something I would/could not experience nearer home or in a cheaper city such as the likes of a Berlin.

@Thom, Fair enough, that is one hell of a trek. If you're travelling, I'm a big advocate of not visiting the same place twice, so I'd be with you there.

@Matt Aye London's always hit and miss. If you go with a good group of people you can always make a great day of it, but so often the crowds are shite. Fortunately for me I like loads of weepy, pretty shit that you can stand there and sing and cry at full pelt and not give a shit, so the crowd involvement is largely moot.

That being said, some London crowds have been absolutely wonderful - Arcade Fire @ Roundhouse springs to mind...

Yeah I saw the xx doing one of their warm up shows in Battersea, ended up being stood near a group of idiots who were either singing really loudly throughout but getting the words wrong and then laughing about it to each other or they were just talking. One of the most frustrating gigs I've been to. I saw Arcade Fire at Hackney Empire and it was amazing, crowds at RAH have always been really great too - think it depends on the acts and where you end up ultimately.

Anyone know why he's now done for Saturday? Relieved by lack of Hot Chip clash but hoping it won't be Funkadelic instead...

I'm presuming Neil has had some information to suggest he's playing Saturday, I don't see him headlining a stage(I hope not for clashes) so I'm quite glad to see him down for Saturday
