When I sat pressing F5 for what felt like a life time on loads of open windows I knew then that regardless of who was announced I would pay the balance with a huge smile on my face.

From what we have so far I like Disclosure and may see some of Blondie depending on clashes.

Not fussed by AF, LA or DP (though I may pop in to wave a bit!!).

But pay for our tickets I shall - and will then look forward even more than I am to June 25th!!

To answer all the "when does it usually come out" questions, here's some info from a post by Beaver89 last year:
2008
1st Feb 08: Jay Z
8th Feb 08: The Verve and Kings of Leon
18th April 08: Some John Peel
28th April 08: Full Line Up
(No resale in '08, didn't sell out before it started)
2009
23rd Feb 09: Bruce Springsteen
26th Feb 09: Blur
9th March 09: Neil Young
5th April 09: Ticket resale
22nd April 09: Kasabian confirmed (the '4th headliner')
25th May 09: Full Line Up
2010
23rd Nov 09: U2
12th Feb 10: Muse and Stevie Wonder
7th April 10 : West Holts
11th April 10: Ticket resale
14th April 10: Full Line Up
29th April 10: Dance Village added
2011
11th Feb 11: Beyonce self confirms
15th Feb 11: Coldplay announced
23rd Feb 11: U2 announced
2nd Mar 11: Some acts
13th Apr 11: West Holts
14th Apr 11: Full Line Up
17th Apr 11: Ticket resale
To which we can add:
2013
17th Jan 13: Rokia Traore
27th Mar 13: Most of lineup (1st poster)
21st April 13: Ticket resale
24th April 13: More Acoustic
26th April 13: Bobby Womack
30th May 13: "Full" lineup
18th June 13: BBC Introducing
23rd June 13: Arcadia
So last year was the first time the lineup was (mostly) announced in good time before the resale, and in '09 and '10 it didn't come out until after the resale.

I think you may have been out of the loop on that one. eFestivals definitely tweeted 'stand by yer beds. its coming' on the afternoon and the place started to melt down. Apparently other places had alluded to it too but I don't remember. There were many hanging about at 7pm too when it was released.

I was in the pictures when it was released last year, I remember being in the pub afterwards with BBC 10 o'clock news on the telly, just caught some images of The Rolling Stones and The Pyramid coming on the screen and nearly choked on my pint, then began intently reading the subtitles.

I'm personally not bothered how the line-up turns out, its just intriguing and a bonus if there's a load of bands that I want to see too. Adds to the excitement of it, especially this Glastonbury being my first.

To be honest, I'm just bloody glad I managed to get a ticket!

I think it would be easier for the resale if they don't announce the line-up until afterwards. Less attention on the festival, rubberneckers not paying the balance because they can't be arsed paying if they don't know who they'll be seeing, the line-up is make or break for a whole lot of people, they wont want to buy a ticket if they don't know it.

    • Wednesday is a nice addition imo
    • Kronenberg in a tent as well IIRC but Brooklyn Pilsner was easier to get without queueing and was everywhere across the festival.
    • I think they'll end up doing something due to pressure and bad PR. Maybe they do a discount code for next year or bar credit or something along those lines.    I agree though. I acknowledge that the lineup is huge but surely you can't cancel 33% of the headliners and not reimburse in some way. Their insurance will probably cover their fees for MA, Doja, Bad Gyal and Mac DeMarco due to force majeure.
    • Looks like nothing for weekend ticket holders. You'd expect a goodwill gesture.
    • Enough has been covered about how much of a sh*t show that was, so I'll just say, Massive Attack and it's relationship with this festival (and potentially me) are f**king cursed.    They were announced in 2020 when I first got excited about seeing them. They were subsequently on the poster for 21, 22 and now 26. This time I was in actually in the crowd close to the stage waiting for them twice haha. I give up!
