Seen them live 4 times, Reading 2003 & 2008, Download 2004 (when Lars missed the gig) and Sonisphere in 2011 - absolutly awesome each time.....think all of our group of 9 will watch them if they do indeed play!

excuse my ignorance,I'm not the biggest verve fan myself..I've only ever herd the song when it's been played on the radio and thought it was about drug addiction.

I'm not 100% sure but it seems to deals with his father dying of cancer and the drugs his father is taking to battle cancer no longer working??

What do people think about that,is it a good or bad thing?

I think it's great jack is playing what I mean is.is jacks music a little to close to what metallica is playing and by no way I'm I saying jacks music is metal,just very guitar driven.

Would it have been better to have a more mainstream group/artist sub to shake the dynamics up or is it a good thing in as it would get people accustomed to a rocky sound?

One consideration the organisers would have is the safety aspect of movement of people. If they had someone poppy on before hand would masses of people then leave whilst loads of people are coming the other way? I think that's why they'd have Jack/Metallica
