True about lucky, although BlackCrow's 'info' told him that Halestorm were going to be in the Download announcement and they weren't. And while he got two others right they're in the same boat as above, fairly obvious names. I don't think any other names he's mentioned have been tested yet, I guess they will on Monday.

Oh right, I didn't see his latest rumour. I guess we will find out.

It's pretty annoying that people say they are itk, but then never reveal anything and then afterwards pretend they knew all along, this forum is good for festival info and rumours, but if we don't know who the bands are, it's hardly helpful.

whenever someone says they have info I take it with a pinch of salt as even if they have been told something by a sauce, the sauce could have been fed false info just so it doesn't properly leak.

anyway hope it has good headliners as could make next year interesting

So what about

Friday (Proper 40 year special day): Deep Purple w/ Scorpions, Lynryd Skynyrd, UFO etc

Saturday: Iron Maiden w/ Motley Crue

Sunday: Metallica

Throw in a couple of Soni favourites throughout the day too obviously.

Would be delighted with that if I'm honest even if I am being waaaaay too hopeful!

Luckysalt has proven himself countless times, he named Prodigy, Slipknot, Avenged and Aerosmith for Download way before they were announced.

I'm pretty sure he knows, especially this close to announcement.

Anyway whispers and educated guesses leading me to the conclusion Metallica and Iron Maiden are Soni's two big headliners. As for the third...hoping for Soundgarden

    • Never too early to start discussing next year’s headliners right?   I’m not attending this year so thought I’d get the ball rolling as I saw Weezer have a new album out in August I’d expect them to do this or Slam Dunk next year. I mean they’re probably too big for this however I think they’re niche enough that they would maybe do it, it just depends on if the fee is a bit out of range for trees.    It’ll be the 20th anniversary next year so I’d expect some throwbacks and hopefully some big headliners/acts. James has already said he’s made a mad booking that you wouldn’t guess & I think he mentioned that he’s spent something like 80% of this years budget of next years top line already on last weeks 2 promoters 1 pod (Don’t quote me on that).    I reckon they’ll try for and get at least two (not all) of the following - Enter Shikari, AFI, Weezer, Sex Pistols Feat Frank Carter, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls
    • for some reason last night watched series one of Prey on Netflix.   if Legends was written by Timmy Mallet (see above) then Prey seems to have been made by Mr Blobby.   why are all these British crime dramas so sh*t?
    • It'll be all over various Seatfillers based upon previous years at Sandringham
    • The Jayhawks 2026 UK Tour    Sept 15 – Brighton – Corn Exchange  Sept 16 – London – Electric Ballroom Sept 17 – Manchester – Academy 2 Sept 18 – Glasgow – The Garage    For you ‘americana’ lovers. They have a great song book.
    • Weezer just announced a new album & US tour so could add them to the headliner pool. Imagine they’ll do this or trees
