Saying that “the sonic side” of the project is finished, Page promised that each box set would be released separately in 2014. And as for those rumors of unreleased material? “Oh yeah,” he nodded, although he was reluctant to provide any information about the songs. “I can’t tell you,” he demurred when pressed for details. “It’s got to be a little bit of a surprise, I can’t give all the games away.”

"Eavis was asked by the BBC if she had her dream headliners on a post-it note on her fridge, in which she replied: "Yeah, it’s on a napkin actually. On the fridge, there... We would love to have Adele. And we’d also love to have Led Zeppelin. I mean Zeppelin have got to do it haven’t they? It would be so good wouldn't it."

in terms of topping / equalling the Stones this year, it could only really be Zeppelin, Prince or Bowie, so if he's managed to get Zeppelin then fuck me that's good. i'm not even a fan and i'd be over the moon with them headlining

*not jumping the gun and saying they are headlining. just that it would be incredible if Eavis has gone and managed it

Neil is such a bloody tease.

Led Zep and Arcade Fire as two of the headliners next year would be insane. I may even go as far as saying I'll take Kasabian or Elbow as the third headliner if those two are guaranteed.

Assuming Tom Waits headlines West Holts on Kasabian/Elbow evening of course.

And likewise the Stones - but, even when not dropping into the studio to guest on their albums, Jimmy Page is an acknowledged Stones fan.

Though I'm not ure the love flows both ways. I'm pretty sure Keith dissed Led Zep in an interview a while back.

The mere (moderately realistic) suggestion of LZ-1 playing at Glastonbury has made my heart die a little. Firstly, because it'll make the resale laughably difficult and, secondly, because there's a very real chance I won't be there to experience it. Not sure watching the limited bits they allow to be shown, through floods of tears, on the beeb will be quite the same.

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
