I'd agree BMTH will easily and rightly sub when they have a new album out and have played some big shows or whatever but, as I've tediously repeated, they're barely off the last album and it'd be horribly weak for them to sub without new stuff after recent significantly lower slots at Download and R+L so that's why I've argued against it. People have just got too wrapped up in the whole Wembley Arena thing - I've read them described as 'stadium fillers' off the back of that and some on... other forums... have even touted them as R+L headliners this year.

I think they will headline Download then - in the distant future - R+L and honestly there are much worse bands that could do that so fair play for a British rock band rising through the ranks for once. Would be chill if Marmozets followed a similar path.

New Tool album in May. In the running finally?

You know better than to believe that, don't you?

They're apparently not touring this year either way. They'll probably tour pretty hard next year but whether they compromise with festivals is another thing. Probably do an Aphex Twin and be exclusive to Bang Face Weekender.

I made it up out of thin air so I'd hope I don't believe it :P

Saying that, it probably has been reported somewhere that it'll be out in May haha. It's been 9 years ffs what is wrong with them.

But I was in touching distance of seeing Aphex Twin and passed out in a puddle of mud (ayy) instead. Hope that doesn't happen with Tool.

"Bang Face began to host showcase events at UK festivals, starting with The Glade in 2006.[13] In 2010 it hosted a night at the Glastonbury Festival for the first time, which was ranked ninth in a Daily Telegraph columnist's Top 10 highlights of the festival.[3] BangFace returned to Glastonbury in June 2011."

Sweet.

At least Yellow can't come in with "[citation needed]" on this.

I don't think BMTH or Frank Turner are gonna sub,

Think we're gonna have another macklemore esque surprise on our hands.

macklemore has already been announced for a few august festivals before march, so look at some august festivals. I can't think of a name but our sub is probably there.. Or not announced for any yet :P

People have already thought to look at August festivals.

The only surprise about Macklemore and Ryan Lewis was that they were higher than expected. They were on most predictions just lower down.

Somebody (not I) has stumbled upon a few unannounced German tours including a BMTH tour this November by looking at the individual cities on the MLK (big German promoter) website. eg. http://www.mlk.com/cities/berlinand then changing the city to another German/Swiss one like the ones below. Can find other tours like Hot Chip and Laura Marling ones in May, Rihanna over Glastonbury weekend in June and BFMV in November. I didn't look too much further into it so I dunno if there's many more.

02.11. - München

06.11. - Würzburg
07.11. - Stuttgart
08.11. - Köln
10.11. - Berlin
19.11. - Hamburg
20.11. - Münster

Not really relevant to the festival but it seems I'm completely wrong and they're further along the comeback trail than I'd thought if they're lining up a European tour this autumn. Subbing sounds less far fetched now.

I don't think BMTH need a new album out to sub. I think they could pull it off by announcing the album release to be in September, for example, and have another popular radio single like Drown out before the festival. Chuck in another song or two from the forthcoming album and that would be a decent booking still.

Nah I'd argue that'd still be a terrible booking but probably one R+L wouldn't be averse to making.

Shadow Moses

Go To Hell, For Heaven's Sake

Diamonds Aren't Forever

*new song*

Alligator Blood

Empire (Let Them Sing)

*new song*

Chelsea Smile

Pray For Plagues

Blessed With A Curse

Antivist

Sleepwalking

Drown

Can You Feel My Heart

A setlist like this if they subbed would be killer.

I'd take that, still would be a weak booking though and I don't they should sub just yet

    • Muse will be about but the issue with Muse is that they’ll have the pick of doing IOW, BST, Glasto, R&L or big parks/stadiums.

    • Not sure what this means for 2027 but it looks like Holt Farm's website and email are both now inactive and unavailable.   It'll be a shame if they don't operate for 2027 as it was an excellent alternative to the other off-site offerings.   Fingers crossed they're just enjoying their downtime 🤞
    • Deftones, Blink, Muse?   Deftones as the next bump up makes all the sense, Blink as the "band that has never played before" and round out with Muse as its been a long time since they headlined and they have a new album coming which seems on the heavier side from the singles so far.   I could see Muse do their own tour to be fair, maybe MCR in their place? Could also see Deftones switched out for Slipknot/SOAD depending on who is about.
    • I have no issue with the Primavera crowd in most respects. They’re always friendly, respectful and no hint that there could be trouble at any point.   However…the talking is horrific here. The xx was pretty much ruined for me due to people having conversations with their mates the whole way through. Noticed it from all different nationalities across the weekend…English, Irish, Spanish etc. There seems to be no understanding of the nuances of when it’s okay to talk and when it isn’t. And obviously the sound being quiet at a lot of spots on the main stages exacerbates the issue. That alone has made me reconsider whether I will be coming back, it would probably take a lineup as good as this year (unlikely)
