I thought I would have a lil go:

The Pretty Reckless are too low... their last tour was same size venues as the Don Broco-headlined Kerrang Tour - and since that's a package tour you could argue Pretty Reckless would be above Broco. Would certainly be at least higher than Pierce The Veil I reckon. The Gaslight Anthem might be up a bit too, they did Alexandra Palace a few months back so probably above The Cribs at this point I think.

Amazing Saturday main (plus Frank Turner), definite day ticket at least for that. Only Gaslight and Marmozets for me on the other two days though, so I'd need a very, very good selection of bands from the NME/R1 undercard and on the Pit and FR stages.

Anyone know if Marilyn Manson is exclusive at Download, or is there some unspoken rule that Download acts don't play Reading? There's a few I'd like to see added

As a rule of thumb they didn't used to have acts playing bother their main stages - Billy Talent did Download's main and Reading's second in 2012, You Me At Six on Reading's main and Download's second also in 2012, Faith No More on Download's main and Reading's second in 2009, for example - but then Crossfaith main staged both last year, so I guess that rule's gone out the window now if it ever really existed to begin with.

As far as I know Manson's not exclusive though, so he isn't ruled out.

Another great poster. However I cant see Temples/Drenge/Wolf Alice/Cribs/JAWS doing mainstage (As much as I would love them all to) Few other placings I'd suffle round a bit (Enemy/Pretty Reckless especially). But this line up would be excellent, let's hope! Edited by DGrant261

I believe he IS exclusive at Download guys.

BTW, if BMTH sub Reading this year and then headline Download the following year which is a rumour going around, that would be the other way round of Biffy subbing Metallica at Download 2012 then headlining Reading the following year.

Just a thought that came into my head...

I had this thought too actually but it is depending on if BMTH actually sub though so I just forgot about it until now

BMTH are very popular but only among their own fans

not many people would go and see BMTH ''to see what they're like'' or because ''they're someone to watch''

- their crowd would look very thin as a sub

unlike someone like Frank Turner whose fanbase is broader - he would attract (and I hate to slump people into these categories) NME readers, kerrang readers and maybe even those 'pillz 'n' house muzic' folk

What are you on about? BMTH have a broader fan base than Frank Turner, and when they played 5th down in 2013 they got a got a big crowd (larger than Deftones and NIN combined that year) and they've only gotten bigger with more mainstream attention and if we're gonna use those categorise I say BMTH fit into more and that is only helped by the mainstream attention they're getting and they'll easily be a sub when the new album comes out

Don Broco pretty much confirmed they are going to be doing R&L this year tonight on the Kerrang! Tour in Leeds. Rob said, "We will see you again soon, we may be playing a festival in August in Leeds... That's all we can say for now". So I'm happy with that :)

Haven't seen DB yet so this is good for me!

    • belated thanks for this ended up going, was a good evening and a great venue with a cracking beer selection (give the festival a few tips on that). Never been in before despite reasonably local.       Main takeaways from the film (as someone who didnt go for much later). The festival has changes a lot since then apart from the Green Fields that looked the exact same.  Me and my mate both agreed that Shambala is today than Glastonbury.   Cool piece of merch aswell.
