Well, four out of eighteen for me so far. Metallica, Royal Blood, Pierce The Veil and Refused. Major pressure on the next announcement to deliver a LOT of rock/metal/punk acts if they want my money this year. Absolutely shocking how little there is for me at the moment, especially given the lack of competition from Sonisphere this year.

Why else make the statement? What else is in Scotland?

glasgow summer sessions for Mumford I reckon

Queens were exclusive but did a scottish gig.

This seems about right from what's said...

MUMFORDS, (Alt-J?), Bastille

METALLICA, (?), Royal Blood

LIBERTINES, (?), Jamie T

NME headliners something like Deadmau5, Knife Party and Rebel Sound and one of the latter two is a closer set. For Peace.

Mumford and sons, Alt J, Bastille

Metallica, Royal Blood, Deftones

Libertines, The Vaccines, Jamie T

Yeah, you would have thought that the second announcement would have had at least one metal band to tie in with Metallica, and the fact we have no Soni this year, whilst Download isn't exactly the heaviest it's been in a while.

I'd have imagined that the lack of rock/metal/punk acts announced was as a result of Mumford being announced as the headliner as the other announcement was the exact opposite as it had more of those acts you and I want

Royal Blood are third down according to the show. Agree about Vaccines though. It is quite strong but imagine looking at this lineup five years ago.

Edit: I think Frank Turner will sub now as, if those slots are all taken there isn't anywhere else for him to go is there?

DeafMau5, Knife Party, Rebel Sound. Would be the worst/least NMEish set of headliners ever. I can't see rebel sound headlining any stage other than 1Extra.

Edit; Has Jamie T actually been confirmed for 3rd? I'd prefer him to play NME and allow Frank/BMTH/Maccabees to play 3rd

When did Queens do a Scottish gig? The only one they've done recently was on the arena tour in 2013.

NME headline?

    • Are we still expecting Anna Von Hausswolff?  I recall seeing recently that she'd cancelled some tour dates due to illness
    • Hey everyone! My friend and I are heading over from Sweden to Tramlines this summer. We had our eyes on a bunch of different festivals in the UK, but since most of them sold out before we even knew if we’d be able to make the trip, we finally settled on Tramlines. Why Tramlines, you might ask? Well, because we’re absolutely crazy about British music, and finding a festival like this (where you also don’t have to camp, a huge plus) made it impossible not to buy a ticket. The fact that I’ll also get to see The Enemy after beeing a fan for 19 years didn’t hurt either.   Since the app doesn’t work over here… is the Clashfinder schedule 100% accurate? What’s the venue like, and what does the map look like? Which sides of the stages are best to stand on? How long does it take to walk between stages? What are the prices usually for food and drinks? Is it easy to get to the festival from town? And is it easy to get back into town? Is it allowed to walk around with a beer anywhere in the venue, or are there those stupid fenced-off bar areas? As you can tell, I need all kinds of info, so please share your best tips and tricks to make this the best festival experience possible.  I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! 😃
    • A whole year of this!  What a time to be alive! This is going to be an incredible playlist.
    • Sorry matey.  Always a nightmare when you have a plan and something scuppers it.   Happy myself, fills a nice little gap for me. Lucky so far really.     I’d have preferred an alternative too to break up the 21 pilot set but shan’t complain
