I think Shikari have ruled themselves out.

Smashing Pumpkins said something bitchy in an interview recently about a festival trying to book them below one hit wonder bands. Can't remember the quote exactly but it sounded like they may have been talking about R&L, so that'd make them more unlikely.

Edit: And yeah, I'd say Vaccines/Two Door/Alt-J to sub Libertines.

He implied multiple festivals but I don't seem to remember much that could identify it as R&L, it was posted in the Crap bands thread if anyone wants/can be bothered to check.

Don't be silly.

I can very much see Jack White playing next year. maybe he can cohead w/ libs ayyy

It's very rare for previous headliners to come back to not headline and when they do it's because of a bump of popularity which they haven't had.

It didn't sound any more like R&L than any other fest

Also, yeah, Shikari have confirmed they're Download only

Ah okay I couldn't remember the quote. I just remember us saying it made them less likely and assumed the quote made it sound like R&L. But yeah what other UK fest would be offering them a slot below one hit wonder acts? Maybe T wanted them as their token one good act per year a la Pixies and MBV/Kraftwerk (okay two acts that year).

I guess R&L must have offered them 3rd down below BMTH.

    • Had a lovely day in Prague now off to the festival. Very excited hope we all have fun regardless of weather!!
    • Iran are winning. If US aren't going to do the full invasion thing, then they may as well admit defeat and do what is needed to get the strait opened. Iran obviously have decided they can take any pain and stick it out as they have all the cards with this Hormuz thing. But obviously Trump can't admit defeat, and Israel just want this to keep going...and maybe it will carry on like this till after elections in both US and Israel towards the end of this year. God knows how the global economy will be by then.
