Lineup 2015

Alan77 loves announcement day

Haha I do - All i want from you guys is just a little more realism, I almost feel bad for you when your old favourites dont get booked and accept the kind of people at reading and how organisers have to cater towards that

Who was the guy who posted the lineup poster in march a few hours early, then said it was a fake, before it in fact turned out to be real?

He was brilliant. I miss him.

Haha, yeah. People give him a shed load of abuse for such a shit poster, and he pissed off

Edit: If you're a newbie, we're lovely really

The 1975 are pants though

They've improved a lot but still sound shit on streams. Leeds 2013 was meh, Sheffield this year was really good, but they really impressed me (and Babyquack ;)) at Werchter! Matt Healy's voice was the best I'd heard it, and they've got a hell of a lot more charisma than Arctics.

(I apologise for how much I like them)

Have you even read any of the thread? Most people think it's going to be something shit we don't like. Most people think it'll be Linkin Park, which would be even worse than Ed Sheeran probably.

I only saw them at Glasto in 2013 and they were the worst act there for me. I went along not really knowing any of their songs

Except last time we all KNEW who the headliners were when you were telling us it was Coldplay. It was you who needed to be realistic.

But that was suggest Linkin Park are some kind of hip new act the younglings are into.

If you don't know the songs then you're almost bound to hate it because he's hardly understandable. They genuinely have upped their live game considerably though, even if no one believes me :ninja:

Given up on trying to stay away

we aren't gonna know before the announcement, I think that's pretty clear now.

Instead, when do you think we pretty much knew that Blink were gonna be announced first? I remember the rumours page was updated with blink as the photo for "reading and leeds rumours" and we kinda connected the dots that they were probably being announced first?

I really hope we continue to not have a clue, and then we get something interesting!

That photo went up, which went along with Lucky's info

    • Interesting to read. It's mostly why we stopped going a few years back even though it's the nearest big festival to home. The post-exams timing and location makes it a rites of passage first festival for people in a big area. Understandably that leads to a bit of giddiness. Think lineup would need to be a lot more my cup of tea to be enticed back. Friends who are there are having a good time tho and no rain is a good thing for up there.
    • I honestly didn't know it had, I still thought it was where the view overlooked the lake and view.   I think my decision not to attend this year at least was justified. Biffy was the big draw but after Finsbury I knew they wouldn't play what I want to hear again and well work also got in the way. Believed interesting to hear if Libertines were any good as they were also a pull but Sunday did nothing for me really with all my acts on Friday and Saturday.
