I have to also agree that Rammstein are incredible live. Don't like their music but saw them at Download and it was amazing, one of the best headline sets I've seen at a festival. Never seen a stage show like it haha.

To be honest, I find all the fucking about with the stage show shit takes away from how tight a band they are.

The best part of their arena tour was when they all got on a tiny platform in the middle of a crowd. It felt like a club gig, they're so good live (if you like that thing).

But the songs are performed brilliantly aside from all the stage show stuff. Or are you just saying the songs themselves are shite? From what I've seen of live Kasabian footage the songs don't seem to be performed well at all; Tom sounds shite.

I'm a bit of late to this but I could see a heavier act headline the NME next year if it is someone like BMTH or Enter Shikari. Would draw a big crowd and could even be used as an excuse to book a more poppy headliner (if you believe all of this R&L turning more into V thing) against them. Also I don't think there were any acts that could be classed as heavy on the NME last year but there are a few this year that could be classed as heavy but they're not in high positions.
